Large crack after a year

1 out of 5 stars

I've had these boots for a little over a year now and they developed a large crack in the rubber on the top part of the toe box. I used my last pair of muck boots for 4 years of heavy use before they developed a small leak, which is why I bought this brand again. I didn't wear these everyday like I have with my past muck boots, so I was really expecting these to last longer. I can't even use the limited warranty since the crack developed a few weeks after the 1 year mark. Pretty disappointing.

Sole falling off with very little use

I purchased these in the spring in preparation for winter and have worn them a handful of times. Already, the rubber sole of the right boot is almost entirely unadhered, letting in dirt and water and snow. After not even a season of use, I am disappointed.

Best boot I’ve ever owned

This is the best boot I’ve ever owned. I’ve had them for about 8 years have used them weekly. I wear them at camp, to cut the grass, in the creek, in the snow, in the summer. The rubber cracked open on one of them 4 years ago and they are still waterproof. They are worn down to the rubber inside on my heel but I just wear thicker socks and can’t even tell. I’ve wanted to get a new pair but my originals are still going so strong I don’t see a need anytime soon.

Great boots!

I have had these years for 11 months. I wear them at minimum a couple of hours a day. Sometimes, I wear them an entire day, my property is very wet and sometimes floods over 6-10” in some areas. These boots have stood up to it all! I live in NE OH. They’re great in the winter and summer. The wide to box leaves my toes with a comfortable amount of room while the mid foot is snug to keep them in place.

Fall apart quickly! Waste of money!!!!!

I have gone through 2 pairs of Muck boots this year. 1 pair fell apart after 7 months of owning and only wearing them a few times. The Sole comes apart. I also purchased my daughter and husband a pair and both of their soles came apart, too. I have worn Muck boots for years, it seems that they have a 6 month guarantee on their boots.after 6 months, you are on your own. Expect your boots to only last about 6 months, if actually worn. We have a total of 4 pairs of these boots that have the soles falling off of them!!!!! These are a complete disappointment! NOT worth the money!!!!!

Women's Wetland boot

This is my second pair. Very dependable with regard to keeping feet warm and dry - good for all seasons - even subzero temps. I ruined my first pair by putting yak tracks on them during icy conditions and the tension separated the sole just enough to cause leaks. I will not do that with my second pair. Also a word of caution if you wear these boots while using a shovel as the larger treads are just the right size for the spade to get stuck onto the sole.

Love these boots for barn work

I love these boots for barn work because there’s not much tread on the bottom that picks up debris from the stalls and shavings. The chore boot with it’s deeper crevices in the soles tend to pick up more mud and dirt.

Puddle jumper

Purchased these boots approximately 10 years ago. They “were” the best. Seam finally let go on one boot recently. Wore them all fall, winter & spring. So felt I certainly got my moneys worth. Used to recommend them to friends/family all the time. Recently purchased new pair (same boots), very disappointed with Muck co. Felt like I just purchased something at the grocery store. You know like the KD that is half the size! A few inches shorter, so not great for deeper water crossings, plus the tread is not as good. Wiped out first time I had them. In fairness to the company they aren’t winter boots and maybe people complained about the height. It just seems as company’s produce a great product in the beginning and lag there afterwards on quality. Hence my title puddle jumper. As deeper water might be a concern.

Leaky from beginning….

I have purchased several pairs of these boots and all of them have started leaking within a year or two. However, the pair I just bought are leaking from the get-go. I just wear them a few times a week, inside a building with slippery and wet floors. I don’t spray high-pressure water on them. There’s no reason they should be leaking around the toe area. I don’t think these can be returned after wearing! If they didn’t leak, they’d be just about perfect. But I won’t buy another pair of Muck boots.

Poor Quality

I have had this style of muck boot before. I wear them multiple times per week for wetlands work. My last pair of muck boots lasted two years before the sole came off. I have worn my current pair four times and they are already deteriorating. The neoprene is very poor quality. I have had to patch three holes in the neoprene already, and I'm not being any harder on this pair than my last pair. If you have to wear your boots in water, I definitely do not recommend them. The neoprene is easily torn and your boots will leak! I will not be buying this brand again.

Bad longevity

2 out of 5 stars
Jenni - 3 years ago

I bought these boots and they’ve barely lasted a year. 6 months in, I started noticing hairline cracks in the rubber at the bend points, now they allow moisture into the boot. My feet would come in cold and wet from being out in the snow this past winter. The rubber on the upper is now breaking down so bad that my nail can leave discolored scratches on it. Think very old rubber and how brittle it gets. My previous ones I had for 6+ years without issue and only had to replace them due to wearing out the tread. These are very subpar, given the cost. That all said, I wish they held up better as I love the fit and are very comfortable.

Wishing the Muck Company would come back with the Woody with camo and pink trim!!!! And maybe even change the pink to a different color trim......purple, light blue, etc. I like this style the best because the toes don't turn up. Most comfy boot they made!!

Mucks are the best! My

Mucks are the best! My first pair I wore for the better part of 20 years until they developed cracks. They kept my feet warm and dry during Nebraska winters and mucky barnyard. When my new pair developed cracks the company replaced them no question,no problem. I look forward to another 20 years of warm dry feet.

Super comfy, great for spring and fall

4 out of 5 stars
Mel R. - 4 years ago

I've had these boots for about 2 years. I wear them mostly in spring and fall in central Canada. They're the right amount of warmth for me down to about -10C, below that my feet are chilly and damp. I can't see myself wearing them at -30C. What I love about them is that they're comfort even after standing on your feet or walking for a few hours because they're cushy, lightweight and have a sturdy foot bed. I also love the rugged soles for traction on rough, uneven ground. What I don't love about them is that they're super slippery on ice, i.e. on a lake or icy road they offer no traction at all. Because of this I would choose a different model in the future because traction on ice is what I need in the times and places that I most want to wear them. I'm disappointed that after wearing them for only a few months each year, the outsole is separating from the edge of the boot most of the way around the boot. I rated the quality as poor because I feel that based on the amount and type of use they've had, that the boots should've held up better.

Perfect!

This was one of the few boots available in my size and since I really needed boots, I decided to chance it, despite having not tried these boots before (and online shopping shoes is a bit risky). When I first put them on I felt like there may be some blistering in the future, but I have had them for a month now and they have been perfect. I specifically got these for working on my farm and so far it has been perfect, and they are warm enough when I am walking in the snow. I love these boots a lot, extremely happy with this purchase

Perfect fit, no wearing in period. We hike in the woods daily and there are numerous water features and a lot of mud. These boots weather it all without slippage. Much lighter than my Chore boots but I love them both!!

Great warm comfortable boots for the wet west coast. Yet not so warm that your feet overheat in our mild winters. Gumboots you can wear all day long in comfort.
