My review starts with Lori, the person that helped me over the phone get my measurements correct ... she caught a few items that didn't sound ""quite right"", and for that I am very grateful. My experience with the company, and the product that arrived was excellent. We used our existing tile from our old mantel, and I just cannot describe how happy I am with the final product. It was very easy to install, and looks great ... I cannot stop looking at it! I did however have a bit of an issue with the shipper. I understand giving a customer a wide delivery window, mine was 9a-3p, but I should not have had to call them at 2:55p to find out if they were still delivering, which I then got a new 3-5p window, and the driver finally showed up about 5:25p. But in the end, I got my mantel, it is beautiful, and only took us beginners about 5 hours to install it!

I ordered a mantel in dark brown based on the color on the website. It arrived much lighter and the company refused to fix it. DO NOT USE.

The mantel came well packed and the workmanship was very good. Installation requires a bit of skill but could be handled by most people with some degree of handiness. The instructions are a bit lacking in detail and are not specific to each type of mantel (generic instructions). You may have in improvise a little during installation.
