The holder itself was sturdy and all of the wood was pretty except the very top piece. It had a greenish streak right in the middle of it. Since that is one of the only parts that you see, I had to take off 2 stars.

I've had this for 6 months now and it's one of my most favorite paper towel holders. It holds the thicker rolls I purchase without tipping over. I've moved this around my kitchen and it looks good on the countertop, on the table, or on the pantry cabinet - the style and color looks good anywhere.

Seems sturdy so far! I do watch for water puddles and droplets sitting, as I don’t want to ruin the wood. But overall very pleased. The base could’ve been a little more heavy to help keep it steady when pulling a paper towel off.
