In concept it really is beautiful. But the central wood dowels are the wrong size, rendering the whole unit useless. There is a metal rod down the entire center that is screwed together during set-up, but it's ultimately too short for the wood dowels that fit over it. A person will have to use a saw and cut one of the spindles down in order to get the whole central spine to stand erect and firm. Even then, the whole thing is so wobbly I suspect I would have needed to problem solve and buy more hardware to stabilize the unit; possibly use a glue to permanently set it all up. The problem would arise if you were using the tray only seasonally and want to store it: you wouldn't be able to break it down. The lips of the tray are also high, which is great for pure function, but not so great if your goal is to display your objects. Your treasures will be partially hidden. I returned the item and for the same price built and stained my own (sturdy) 3 tiered tray. I am more satisfied with the project I built to my own specs.

It beautiful. Larger than I thought it was going to be but has a lot of display room.

I didn’t like the color. It was more in the grey side than wood color. It doesn’t match what I am looking for so I returned it.

BIG! Which is what I wanted. Also solid wood and easily assembled. A bit too gray for my tastes so I will be staining it but, otherwise, perfect for my needs.
