Q: How do you adjust the height? Is it separate from the swivel function? I.e. if you (or a kid) is swiveling round and round, will the height of the chair also change?

A: Hi – Upgrade your dining area with the Woodsboro Adjustable Barstool from Threshold. You can adjust the seat by turning the bottom piece to make it even or twist it down to lower it. The swivel part doesn’t lock on the seat but it doesn't change the height of the seat by swiveling around. Be sure to check out what other guests are saying in the reviews to help make your decision. The screw holes on the footrest ring are not the same size / aligned with those on the legs so it’s impossible to assemble without any alteration. I used my own screws which are a size smaller than provided, still can only make two of them installed.

The materials for the stool are sturdy and it's nice looking. However, after being delivered to the wrong street, I spent two half days trying to put it together. The instructions were awful, only images that didn't even begin to explain some of the more complicated parts, and there were a lot of parts. I could not secure the foot ring properly to the store because the holes were missed drilled and I don't have a drill in a bit to drill correct ones. It is now compromised and not sturdy because I cannot put my feet on the rungs. I would have given it a five star rating if it wasn't so complicated to put together and the manufacturing has been correct as it is a nice stool.

These barstools weren’t difficult to put together, and they’re quite sturdy. There were no issues with delivery, the boxes were in great shape, and the stools themselves were in great condition. No knicks or scratches or discoloration. And I love the way they look. This is a great quality barstool based on my experience and opinion.

These barstools took about an hour each to assemble. There are a lot of screws and I felt I needed to keep going back and tightening them to make sure the stool is sturdy. I have only sat on them a couple of times but they are nice. I like that the stools are adjustable high and swivel. The legs have a distressed metal look. The seats are solid wood.

We loved the design, but building was unnecessarily difficult because of the tool supplied. Absolutely need 2 people to build, and you'll need someone strong to push the bars close enough to insert the screws. After being built, they're pretty sturdy and comfortable, but they leave metal splinters constantly. For the price, it's a bummer that these have been such a headache.

While these took a little effort and an extra set of hands to put together, I am very happy with them. I like that the seat is just a little deeper so I don’t feel like I’m slipping off it on the wood. Love the slightly grey undertone to the wood finish.
