A niche book for a niche genre.

World War Z, a book that was definitely a book that stood out among the rest. The zombie book genre (or theme in general) is a small niche in any industry, it seems. Max Brooks really set himself apart from everyone else with his use of formatting and his expertise in storytelling. Some people may say that the book lost their interest or there was nothing to keep you motivated to read, but it really depends on the type of reader you are. World War Z is a very creative book and you have to think creatively to understand what is occurring. Brooks goes deep into detail and sometimes horrifies the reader, especially in the scene of discovering Patient Zero. I enjoyed the story because I like the idea of many smaller stories inside of one book. World War Z might really suit a reader if they prefer a myriad of small bits of suspense rather than one large climax. Each story provided its own small twist that the reader can stitch together at the end, which makes the book extremely exciting to read, in my opinion. It's very comparable to a puzzle in the way the reader can piece it together in their own way. The book is designed to keep the reader thinking and asking "What If?" questions to excite them into reading more.
