Description
The Worx NITRO 20V Pruning Shear/Lopper is perfect for cutting branches, twigs, dead flowers and more up to 1in diameter. These handheld shears are the perfect tool for smaller applications when a full-sized hedge trimmer is not needed and offers more power than manual shears or loppers. At only 2.38 lbs. with battery attached and an ergonomic soft grip handle, the user can operate these shears for longer periods with little to no fatigue. You can also hold these shears with one hand, versus a manual lopper where you must operate with both hands. The compact brushless motor offers greater power, extended runtimes, and longer life versus tools with a brushed motor design. The titanium coating on the blades decreases friction, makes for easier cutting, and protects against rust erosion. The Worx NITRO line of Outdoor Power Equipment has the power to outperform standard battery-operated garden equipment.

Have abused this for 3+ years! AMAZING

This is the type of (potentially finger threatening) tool that you DO NOT want to find the cheapest of. Ive cut green limbs larger than could fit inside the blades and take 3-4 nips of and it just laughs and does it. Ive cut through thin plant boards when in quick need of firewood…yeah. I know. Ultimately I wanted to find a flaw in the powered shears/loppers before I gave them to my elderly mother (75) whom cannot use manual shears for simple plant trimming… hand skin issues, etc. She just is in awe and happy after using them EACH time! Battery lasts under MY abuse for MONTHS! I have to remove the battery to use in my other tools before it gets down to 2 battery indicator lights. No lie. Only issue I had was the bolt and lock washer backed off a bit after the first years use (noticed thin flower and small bush trimmings were folding over rather than being cut) and I tightened it back up and have had ZERO issues with it or anything else since!

Purchased yesterday, found a screaming 70% off sale for the WORX Hydroshot, my first WORX product. This unit was on sale at 30% off—had been wanting to buy one, but was deliberating between Ridgid and Milwaukee. Since on sale…what have I to lose. Unpackaged and battery charged within 30 minutes. We set off to test its mettle. We have many burning bushes and red dosier dogwood shrubs. Anyone with these understands how much pruning can be required. Knowing that dead branches are the toughest, we put it right to the test. We did find two largest branches did require and extra cut, but everything cut cleanly in one pull of the trigger. This thing is amazing…WHY did we not buy 2?! No one likes to share when having so much fun! We executed roughly 150 cuts and the battery isn’t even off of the full led bar yet. Will highly recommend to everyone I talk to about this. Now some cons: 1) The trigger mechanism requires attention while pulling, to retain a pool normal to the engineered travel path. There were cuts by both of us where you could feel the trigger clicking into position. I could see this becoming a breakage opportunity if we don’t pay attention. 2) While I do understand dead branches are tighter to lop/prune, I didn’t expect the edge to become dull in one day. It’s not technically dull, per se, but in the common cutting position, the edge is definitely rolled and factory edge no longer intact. I have skills and tools to sharpen when needed, but would be b REAL NICE to have some spares in the tool box. I do NOT find where these are available to purchase anywhere on this site. If someone can help me out with that I’d be most appreciative. Great product—will DEF be buying another so we can each have fun, as well as to loan out as requested.

This little tool is a beast. I live in the woods and this pruner saves me so much time and is so easy to use. When cutting down trees, I can use the pruner for cutting all of the little branches off instead of using a chain saw. The battery life is great too.
New Favorite Yard Tool!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These loopers are my new favorite yard tool! We have crape myrtles that line our driveway on both sides. Normally I dread this task of trimming them every year but these loppers made trimming all 16 crape myrtles a breeze! The loppers cut through branches 1in diameter or smaller with ease and could even cut thicker branches with a few extra trigger pulls. The battery life is impressive as well. After trimming all 16, it still had half its battery life! We then used it to trim things all over the yard. These electric loppers have been extremely handy!

WOW! This pruner is one beast of a tool! I used it nonstop for more than an hour trimming limbs off 4 different trees and it never missed a beat. Some of the limbs were more than 1 inch and all I had to do was reposition and push the trigger again for a clear cut. On limbs less than an inch one touch of trigger always produced a clean cut. Would highly recommend this tool.

I am not happy with the pruner. It has lag time and doesnt work when pushed to cut. You have to push the button at least 4 to 6 clicks to get it to cut.y

The shears have saved my hands so many times. I like many older people don't have the strength we had years ago. My shears have cut thru so many branches and stems. It is so easy to use. Easy balanced and ergo grip. If you don't have one you are missing out on a great tool.

Worked great. I wish I got one of these years ago to help with the yearly trimming we have to do at our cabin. So much easier than manual tools. Battery out lasted me each day and charged overnight with a full charge ready for the next day.

Arthritis was ruining my ability to enjoy tending to my garden. These shears are just what I needed! They are so powerful that they will cut through branches that I would need to grab my large loppers to cut. These cut through with ease! And I like the safety button to prevent accidental activation.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] WE used this for the first time today. It cuts great and fast. My wife cut with it for a couple of hours and the battery still had a lot left. It is light weight and easy to use. It just does not have the reach of a hand held pruning shear.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love it. So easy to use. My 80 year old arthritic hands just couldn’t do the trimming anymore. Now I can keep my trees and fence line trimmed so I can mow better. Which I hadn’t waited so long.

I have never had such a powerful tool. This pruner effort- lessly cuts through branches at least 1” thick. I like it so much I bought a second one! The battery lasts a long time and I can get a lot of trimming done. It is not heavy or cumbersome to use. Very efficient tool.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was amazed when I used the shears. We were building fence and had a few small cedar trees that need to be removed. My husband said they would not work I was determined to prove that it would take care of the trees and they did the job. My husband used them and was shocked how well they worked I highly recommend them to anyone. I have ordered other items and I am ready to use them thank you for a great product
