Q: On the 48 inch unit what is the height between the shelf’s? I see they are adjustable. Needing to know max height between the shelfs and minimum they will be.

A: Thank you for your question. There are 3 adjustable shelves. Each shelf has 3 holes for the shelf pins 1 ½” apart. When shelves are in center position there is 9 ¾” spacing between the shelves. Each shelf can be adjusted up or down by 1 ½”.

Q: When the description says "unfinished" does that just mean lacking stain/paint but otherwise finished? Or will this piece require sanding in order to smooth it and ensure there are no splinter-prone areas?

It waves perfect color and high to what we needed, it was a little difficult to put together by the end because the holes were too close to the walls of the shelf, everything worked well by the end.

I was very disappointed with the fact that the picture is not what it looks like. Yes it does say natural finish but why picture it white and be misleading? Very confusing. The product is solid and sturdy was just very annoyed because i was not expecting to have to paint it .

The color appears to be gray in the picture, but it is definitely a light brown. If you are looking for a natural, light brown look, this would be a great rustic bookcase. If you're looking for a more gray color, keep looking!
