Description
Def Jam Rapstar is a hip hop themed karaoke game for the Xbox 360 that was released in 2010. In the game, players can rhyme and rap along with hip hop tracks, battle friends, or create videos of their performances to share online. The game has two modes: Career and Party. In Career mode, players progress through five stages, each with eight tracks to master. In Party mode, players can choose a song and perform it. The game uses the consoles camera to film performances, and players can be graded on their lyrical accuracy, timing, flow, and pitch. The game includes more than 40 hip hop songs from artists such as Snoop Dogg, Public Enemy, Big Pun, and Slick Rick. Some say the game is forgiving on easier levels, but more difficult levels require players to know the lyrics and timing. Others say that some sections of the game can be challenging for solo players, such as when they need to sing lead vocals and the chorus in quick succession.
