Xtratuf Men's 6 in Ankle Deck Boot, 22734, Brown

Very slippery on wooden docks or the aluminum government docks at most landings or wet concrete or asphalt. Treacherous on wet grass. These are just OK on fiberglass boat floors, but you will not like these anywhere else. Wish I could get a refund.

Bought these as a Christmas gift for my nephew. This is his 2nd pair. He loves his Tuf’s. Wears them almost all of the time. Durable and comfortable

Like many of the other negative reviews, my 6in Ankle Deck Boots split where the boots flex, near the big toe. I had these about a year and then they started splitting. I live in MT and wear these quite a bit in the winter when the snow is shallow, on icy days, and rainy days. I also wear these in the spring and fall in our backyard "urban farm." These get a lot of use and moderate abuse. Regardless, I expected to have these more than a year. I have the 15in Legacy Boot and the rubber has held up for 7 years, so I'm not sure why the material on the 6in fails so quickly.

100% best boots I have ever purchase. I live on a farm. Horse stalls, chicken coop, 4 acres of pasture. I originally purchase them for wet weather around the farm. But soon started wearing them in place of my heavy leather boots. These are quick to put on, VERY durable. Water proof, which is key on a farm. I was concerned they wouldn't hold up to farm work (vs. boat work). But these boots held up to heavy construction, tractor work and all around farm chores.

I Tore both shoes in the same spot from after a year of gardening. They breakdown where the shoes flex. Considering I live in New England and only wear them spring to fall, half a year… Nothing industrial or commercial. Perhaps the market could be folks who think about working and only wear them to their local coffee shop to drink macchiatos on a rainy day. I’d be happy to provide photos.

Love the boots. On my 3rd pair. Back loop on one of the boots broke the 2nd time I put them on.

I bought these boots a little over a year ago. Loved look and feel of boot. Worked well for a while but 3 months in the back loop fell off. Now after a year or so the crease at the toes are ripped on both boots. Work outside and they are no longer waterproof. Durability not as good as I hoped given the name of boot. Disappointed

I bought a pair of these for work where I work in a pretty wet environment, so I wear them about 2-3 day a week for the entire day, but after only 3 months the side started to crack and now it’s just gotten worse with the bottoms wearing down quickly as well. Granted, These would be good shoes if I only wore them on the weekends while fishing, but these are definitely not shoes meant for work.

Overall it is a comfortable shoe. However, the surface begins to crack around areas where bending occurs.

Mine Tore at the flex point after about 30 days. I see the same thing has happened to others. Looks like a problem area.

I was originally gifted a pair and had them crack and dry rot within 8 months. Got a replacement pair thinking it was a one off and the same thing happened. I had my ild xrratufs for a decade so I know it’s a quality issue. Returning for a different brand

These boots cracked after a couple of months of regular use. Three of my buddies have the same boots and we all have holes in the same place. I wore them for more than a year with holes but I ended up switching to Grundens this season. If you are looking for deck boots and are comparing the two brands I recommend the Grundens or at least staying away from this particular extra tuff product. The Grundens are softer rubber with a square toe, whereas these extra tuffs are a harder rubber with a narrow toe box. The Grundens also have more cushion and wear more like a moccasin whereas these wear stiffer like a clog. We'll see how long the Grundens last but they can't be any worse than these.

Don’t expect them to last more than a year. Had high hopes these would be xtra tough but maybe it’s more like extra fragile and expect wet feet. Living in the Pacific Northwest I was hoping these would become my outdoor winter slippers from November through April. After one season both boots have cracks at the sole and cracking rubber at the toe box. Very disappointing for the price

I absolutely loved them for getting through Seattle winters. The soles are still like new. The top sides however are a different story. The rubber or neoprene (whatever it is) has split on both boots just above the sole - topside joint and the splits have grown. Sadly, they now leak. I’ve tried to mend them with Shoe Goop but it doesn’t cling that well to the topside material. I don’t have large or wide feet or bunions that would cause excessive strain where the splits occur. I can’t recommend them.

I bought these boots a year ago, they were great when I first bought them and wore them everywhere. Great for slipping on and off when going somewhere in bad weather and for getting in and out of waders. They dry rotted within a few months of me using them and formed cracks in the rubber at the toe and were no longer waterproof. My brother bought the same pair and had the same issue within a few months of use. Not a very durable product, but great if you are not wearing them daily.

The pros of xtratufs ankle deck boots: They look great and feel great. The low top is great for wet ground conditions on otherwise sunny days, keeping toes dry but not trapping your whole leg in a sweat pit. The cons: they do NOT hold up. In three seasons of vegetable farming, I’ve worn through 4 pairs of these boots. Would have worn through double that if I hadn’t had to wait 2 to 6 months for my warranty replacement pairs. Their warranty paid off however as they replaced my xtraweak boots 3 times when according to their policy they should have only replaced them once. I’m not saying xtratuf is a bad brand but this is a bad boot if you plan on wearing them for more than splashing through puddles with your kids on a rainy day. I really hope the wheelhouse model holds up better but sadly I dont trust it enough to try.

Same as other reviews. Cracks on both sides of the toe box on both boots after a few months. Sort the reviews by most recent and you'll see that around 2 years ago everyone was pretty happy. However, 90% of the reviews on this side of the 2 year mark are negative. I'd spend your money elsewhere.
