Q: Does it say anywhere on the bottle or on the packaging where the product was manufactured? The US or India?

submitted by Kristen - 5 years ago
  • A: The country of origin shown on each carton indicates the location from where the active ingredient is supplied. The exact wording states “Origin” and is located in proximity to the “Dist. By...” information on the Drug Facts labels. The finished product for the Oral Solution is manufactured and packaged at Chattem, Inc., a Sanofi Company, in the USA, and the finished product for the Tablet is manufactured in Switzerland and packaged by Chattem, Inc., a Sanofi company, in the USA.

submitted bySanofi - 5 years ago
  • A: yes, on the back of the packaging under the trademark area and the back of the bottle itself. You may go into stores and check the packaging yourself. The online images do not contain this information. I just got a batch from another retailer and they are from India. Last year I got a bottle from Target and it was from Switzerland.

Q: Does this help against allergies from cat dander?

submitted by Ceen - 3 years ago
  • A: Exposure to indoor and outdoor allergens (e.g., pollen, pet dander, or dust) causes the body to release histamine. Histamine produces allergic symptoms leading to inflammation in your nose and eyes. The active ingredient in Xyzal Allergy 24HR is levocetirizine which is an antihistamine that works to block the effect of histamine in the body.

Why is it when people place orders online, the most damaged or wrecked package is selected to be shipped or placed for pick up? This item in particular is about ready to expire in a couple of months and that was the one that was selected to be shipped to me. So now I have to go through an entire process of driving an hour to target to exchange it for something that doesn’t have an upcoming expiration date.

I needed to switch from my Zyrtec...just didn't seem to be working that great anyway...so I will take a break from my. I saw a lot of negative reviews about the med but did you all know that you can split this and only take 2.5 mg instead of 5 mg? They are even scored to easily split them. I was having some side effects at full dose.. but at the half dose I'm good.

I have SEVERE allergies and have tried everything you can think of and nothing worked. Figured I’d give this a try and it’s not disappointing me! Like the package says “Starts working in an hour”! Actually, it only took about 45 minutes to kick in. I let out a mighty sneeze and everything that was stuffed up cleared right up! Never had that happen with any other antihistamines, and I’ve tried every other one on the market!

Effective, but the 80 count bottle only has 17 tablets. The bottle and box came sealed, but it has only 17 instead of 80 counts. Even if you split the tablets, it doesn’t add up.

Good product but horrible blister packaging. It is a real struggle to get the little caplets out of the blister pack. Out of a blister pack of 10 tablets, 8 ended up on the floor just trying to get the caplet out. They should try using their own products

Maybe it’s just me but this did literally nothing for me in terms of allergy relief. I thought maybe I needed to be on it longer for consistency but now with just a few pills left in the bottle I’m still congested and battling sneezes and other symptoms

Really upset. Ordered Xyzal for Drive-up pickup. My allergies are terrible, and Xyzal is the only OTC medication that works. Unpacked my Target purchases before bed, prepared my bedside water, and discovered that the Xyzal expired in 08/23. It is 09/05/24. Plus, the box was sliced open on the bottom!
