Echoing others: sturdier than expected, you need two hands to lower the lift top--unexpected but not a problem. The hinges are two-position: up or down. Don't expect to park the lift top in an intermediate position. The laminate is easily chipped and I did that in several places during assembly. Very easy to put together. I didn't have another person to help, but I found I could do it alone with some planning and ingenuity. The only part that was moderately difficult was attaching the lift top to the rest of the table. (Tip: partially pre-screw all the screws, and then remove them, before trying to screw them with the hinges in place.) I recommend eye protection and gloves when hooking the springs, just in case one doesn't hook right and lets go. The carpet sliders in my photo were purchased separately.

I love the wooden color and the table looks very nice and super sturdy. Only thing if the top that lifts is a little wobbly and not as smooth to put back down. You need both hands to set it back down. But not a big inconvenience

Love it so far!! It’s a sturdy table (definitely two person job to assemble), and a big selling point for me was the raisable table feature, since we tend to eat a lot of dinners at the couch. The top raises smoothly, but lowering isn’t quite a smooth, but no big deal.
