Description

About the Book

Bestselling author and Proverbs 31 speaker Nicki Koziarz knows the vulnerable and lost feelings of transition seasons. Digging into the life of Moses, and sharing her own struggles and successes, she gives you a practical, biblical plan to discover--and thrive--right where you are, living with purpose and expectancy even when life pauses in an unfamiliar now.

Book Synopsis

In the space between no longer and not yet, you still belong somewhere.

It catches most of us by surprise. Life is going along until suddenly we find ourselves at the crossroads of what was and what is yet to be. This in-between space of transition often keeps us awake at night, asking questions like What am I supposed to do now? and Why do I feel so lost and alone?

Bestselling author and Bible teacher Nicki Koziarz asked those same questions. She discovered how to find direction for today by studying the life of Moses and coming to understand the types of seasons a transition can bring.

With practical advice, relatable stories, and biblical wisdom, this book will help you:

discern which transition season you're in and learn how to overcome its challenges
stop feeling lost in life by discovering where you belong on the road between what was and what will be
protect your future by learning to utilize Scripture to fight fears of the unknown

Transitions start with something ending, and waiting for a new beginning can be agonizing. But you can learn to be confident and optimistic, even when life feels like it's paused in an unfamiliar now.

Your New Now by Nicki Koziarz is an excellent book sharing the four stages of change or transition in life. As in true Nicki author style, Nicki is real and shares her joys, struggles and everyday life in her book. Her writing is authentic and relatable for many women. After each transition that Nicki shares, there is a mini Bible study on Moses. This could be completed individually or as a group. This book is great for reading alone or could be shared with a group of friends. It could be completed as a low key Bible study. Nicki also has excellent resources on her website to go along with the book. There are places to journal in the book. It is a great source for personal reflection of what transition you are in. I found myself relating, highlighting and filling in the spaces provided with self reflection. This book is relatable to women of all stages, although I found it more so relatable as I have experienced some of the same stages as Nicki. I highly recommend Your New Now by Nicki Koziarz. I was given a free copy from the publisher for my honest review. I can't wait to share it with others! Such an encouragement.

Nicki takes the reader through four different transition seasons and viewing them through the life of Moses. Each transition has its own difficulties and this book helps through each one. I would recommend this book for anyone who is going through any type of transition in their lives to remind them to find strength in where they are now.

LOVE this book! Nicki Koziarz does an excellent job of explaining the main four transitions we all go through in life and how we can make the most of each transition. I also really liked the way she used the story of Moses in each transition to help explain them. I found myself highlighting and taking tons of notes. There are so many great “nuggets” that I want to remember. A few of my favorites are: “Fearing God more than we fear man means at the end of the day, we’re concerned with how our Heavenly Father sees us than any earthly reflection can offer us.” -from chapter two “Truth is Truth! The God of Moses is the same God of today!” – from Ch. 8 “Finished seasons have the opportunity to leave us full of gratitude being proud of what was accomplished and looking back in satisfaction. But it doesn’t mean we won’t have some strong emotions and still look ahead wondering what is next.” – from Ch. 10 I love how she weaves the Bible story, her information about transitions and the reader’s personal experiences, making it immediately applicable. I whole-heartedly recommend Your New Now!

We all go through seasons of change and so this book is a must read for anyone. Truly. I was so excited for this book to come out, because I have found myself in a season of being Finished. Not only did this book help me learn possible signs of being finished, but it helped me know it’s okay to move on. I also love that this book has a Bible Study built in for my small group. We do not have to purchase separate resources - it’s all here. Cannot recommend this book enough!

I have read several of Nicki Koziarz's books and have done several of her studies as well, she always makes you feel like a friend sitting across the table sharing life with you. Her new book helped me see more clearly about what season of life I'm in now and the one I came out of. Since walking away from ministry several years ago and taking on caring for parents, I felt somewhat lost and lonely in the in between. As I read Nicki's book I realized I had stepped out of a season of finishing into a season of separation, but that separation didn't mean from God but separated to him. Even though this season can feel very isolating Nicki really helped me see, through her wisdom and analysis of the life of Moses, that I can embrace this season and have hope to look forward. I am thankful for Nicki's wisdom and encouragement and I know Your New Now will be a book that I will refer to as a reminder to pay attention to the seasons of transitions that will come.

A Must Read for the One Who Feels Lost or Stuck

In Your New Now, Nicki once again makes me feel as if she is sitting across from me at a table with a cup of coffee in hand as she speaks into my heart as only a friend can do. With her warm voice that instantly pulls you into the pages of her message about our transition seasons, I was once again amazed as she put into words what I had been feeling in my own season of separation. The unspoken fears, doubts, and wrestling with God over feeling lost, unseen, and stuck were erased as she transitioned my heart to a new place of finding encouragement and comfort in the message from the life of Moses. If you have ever felt stuck in a season you felt would never change or felt lost in a season that changed before you were ready, this book is a must for your weary soul. Within the pages of Your New Now, you will find hope, courage, and the strength to dream again.

There is something about Nicki's wisdom and writing that is so pure and honest. She takes us through the seasons of life (you could be in and out of them many times and in multiple seasons at once), using the story of Moses to keep us seated in God's word. Her insight into the many seasons we walk through can make life a little easier to bear. As with Nicki's previous books, scripture references are spot on, keeping us rooted in the word. Loved it and highly recommended.
