Zebra Mechanical Pencil 0.5 mm Unbreakable Lead Black 58611

I use the pencil to take notes and do exercises from textbooks. The pencil is much more solidly built than the average 0.5 mm mechanical pencil. The "DelGuard" lead writes a bit more smoothly than the competition and I've never had it break. This purchase wasn't to replace a pencil but to be able to give one to my wife.

The zebra pencils are a bit over priced honestly. Good quality but very pricey. I wouldn’t buy this again, can find good quality pencils for a lot less.

I cant seem to refill the eraser which is sad because i want to refill it and use it to erase again.

I thought these mechanical pencils prevented premature breaking of lead points? NOPE.

I have been very happy with the function of the writing portion of the pencil. The lead advances well, doesn't break, and the pencil is comfortable to hold. I wish it had a more functional eraser though. It is under the cap for one, and very small, so I end up getting out my big pink eraser when needed which is not as convenient. I definitely would give 5 stars if the eraser was a bit larger and more useful.

I honestly love this pencil for its mechanics. The idea of lead-breaking prevention is a lifesaver for hard writers. It's my daily driver for writing long sessions without too much stress. The materials on this pencil are mostly pretty good since aluminum lets me have peace of mind when dropping it (other than the handle rip). The only thing that I don't like about this pencil is the handle as it's a bit more uncomfortable at times and is easily prone to breakage as the material looks like it's made of glass. An improvement on the materials on the handle or replacement parts for this model would be great! If not, then tips on preventing/fixing the handle would be great too. I'm on my 3rd or 4th pencil and it's been a blast writing on it.

This pencil is very comfortable and writs easily. I really think if you are looking for a nice pencil this is for you. I use mine everyday since I have got it.

Great pencil. Just unable to get new lead to load. Tried all the leads that it came with in the package. Non will load and push out at other end.

Historically the M-301 was my go to pencil and EDC. However I lost many pockets because of the sharp point. I tried other brands to replace it, but never found a pencil that felt the same until I purchased the Delguard. While it still has a point, it's not as sharp as the 301 and so far I haven't destroyed any pants. The writing is smooth and as advertised, I haven't broken any lead. I continue to be happy with the purchase, and just bought an additional one to add to my collection.

These pencils are fantastic. I have been using technical pencils nearly 50 years. I used all brands and always had problems snapping 0.5mm leads. I purchased my first DelGuard 0.5mm about 3 years ago. I am always amazed when I use it. I've yet to snap a 0.5mm lead when I write. I no longer do technical drawing, I use the pencils for everyday writing. I prefer a fine 0.5mm line. I was so impressed at never snapping lead, I purchased the 0.3mm version. I have snapped 0.3mm lead using a DelGuard pencil. At least I can use it. I have never been able to use any other brand 0.3mm pencil before for general writing. I find the 0.3 must be used on good paper or the thin lead will snag the fibers of the paper and snap. I have not snapped it on good Tomoe River, Clairefontaine, parchment, velum, or other fine quality papers.

This pencil is the best I've ever used. I journal and hate mistakes. I just love the way it writes!

This pencil makes taking notes, doing homework, and just writing in general so much more enjoyable. There are multiple sets of springs inside the barrel which prevent intermittent led breaks, and the pencil as a whole is incredibly lightweight and well-balanced. The design is comfortable, durable, and overall the all-around, hands-down, best pencil I have ever used (and I have used a lot of pencils). Keep it up, Zebra, this pencil is incredible — please keep making it.
