ZEBRA PEN CORP. Z-Grip Retractable Ballpoint Pen Assorted Ink Medium 48/Pack 22048

Use this pen for work and for field notes. For the price they are a quality good pen. Smooth. And if I lose them no biggie.

Pros: price and pocket clip. Cons: Must "restart" ink on every use, can't just pick it up and write with it. Ink gets blobs on end of while writing and smears as a result. Bought in a multi-pack: black, blue and yellow/orange. Once the black and blue start they are ok but the colored one has ink that does not flow consistently leaving a much 'lighter' line. These things have happened on the thirteen that have been used out of a twenty-one multipack. I thought since they were 'ZEBRA' they would be as reliable and of good quality I have experienced previously--NOT SO!

These pens don't have a smooth ink. When I write with them they leaves globs of ink. Also the box they were shipped in was crushed when I received it. Overall unhappy.

The only reason I'm giving a four star, is I like the Z Grip Flight a little better. I kinda write fast and the ball on the Z Grip Flight keeps up with my pace. The have beautiful colors and they actually are incredible! I just need a fast point to keep up with my penmanship..

The best pens!

I read one of the reviews that the previous ink formula was better, and I wanted to add my vote. The new formula is better for writing, but the old formula was much better for sketching which is how I use them and go through several a week as a designer. It would be great to make that other formula with the clear barrels available as a different model or something. I know I'd buy them for sure. Also, consistently the upper cap pops off and the pen falls apart while I'm writing or keeping it in my pocket. This has happened with at least a dozen of these pens.

I love the way this pen writes and feels in my hand. It is very smooth and just glides along.

With the formula change, this pen is no longer my favourite. I have not found another one that matches the prior formula sadly. I will never use this new formula. (old formula clear barrel, new formula has the barrel a see through colour that matches the ink). Please provide an alternative pen you carry that matched the prior formula please.

We use these for our everyday pens! This recent order has not been as good for example, Evertime you go to write something it doesn't seem to write like it should and its brand new! Please advise and the second problem is it goes from light to dark and thinner lines. Please advise.

I originally wrote a negative review of this product because I had received a pack that did not write. I made sure to remove the little plastic tip protectors, so that wasn't the issue, but apparently I got an entire pack of defective pens. I wrote the company and they sent me a replacement pack right away and they all worked perfectly. I couldn't edit my review, so I am giving 5 stars to balance out my negative review last month. Product QA needs work, but their customer service is excellent.

I'm a teacher so I write a lot and try a lot of different brands of pens. I like a lot the zgrip but they have to be used fast otherwise they dry from within. My advice: don't buy a lot of them at a time!

Goods pens, but they are a bit wobbly at the tip compared to say the Zebra F-301, making the writing experience less confident and precise.
