This Zojirushi Micom Rice Cooker is equipped with a computer chip, the rice cooker can "think" and adjust cooking length and temperatures according to the thermal sensor's calculations. Micom rice cookers not only make perfect white rice, but also flawless brown rice, sushi rice, and porridge. Unlike conventional rice cookers, soaking and steaming time before and after cooking is automatically programmed. Features Micro computerized Technology, convenient steam setting with steaming basket accessory, automatic keep warm, extended keep warm and reheating cycles, easy -to-read LCD control panel with clock and timer functions. Q: Will this keep warm indefinitely? (Won't time out?) I am trying to make black garlic and it takes about two weeks

A: Thank you for your inquiry. We are sorry to inform you that we do not manufacture a product that can make black garlic. Black garlic requires being kept a certain temperature for several days. This is not achievable by our products. Prolonged use of the Keep Warm feature for 24+ hours can damage the internal parts of the rice cooker. The rice cooker is not designed to keep rice warm at this prolonged length of time. Please contact Zojirushi America Customer Service for further assistance by email at support@zojirushi.com

Amazing! My cousin recommend it to me and convinced me with the cooked product, so i got one for myself. So far it has been perfect with brown rice and quinoa. Will be trying white rice next.

This rice cooker is amazing. We absolutely love it. Meal planning and prep has been a breeze, and all the guesswork has been taken out of any meal that includes rice. It is so easy to operate. It is absolutely worth every penny. We are eating so much healthier too, and even learned to make our own sushi! We have a tiny kitchen and this does not take up a noticeable amount of counter space, so we just leave it out. Very happy with this wise purchase!

The functions are simple and the results are perfectly cooked rice every time. All I had to do was measure the rice and add the appropriate amount of water. The menu button toggles between what type of rice you are cooking or if you are steaming. It even has the option to change the cute little melody for when the rice is done.

I've used cheap rice cookers in the past and quickly grew tired of the slightly mushy white rice or crunchy brown rice that I'd get out of them. This rice cooker has made me fall in love with rice. It makes such fluffy white or brown rice and can even make rice porridge like congee which I had never tried before but now can't get enough of. It also has warming settings that can keep your rice warm and fluffy for days. I just put my rice in when I get home from work and forget about it until its time to eat. Its so easy I've started working rice into all of my meals.

Measure rice in cup that comes with the rice cooker. Measurements for water are inside the inner cooking pan. These are very easy to read and descriptive to the type of rice. The cooker is compact and doesn't take up a lot of space on counter. The buttons on the top are also easy to use. Comes with an instruction book that has lots of information and easy to follow.

It is a little bigger than I expected so will take a decent space when storing. It makes it right everytime as long as you follow the instructions. Its so cute and not to big so I leave it on my counter with no issue. It's such a well made device as well. One of my new favorites. My family will have a whole lot of rice sides from here on out I love it 10/10 recommend
