"Since our founding in 1969, Avanti has been dedicated to the pursuit of providing timeless and distinctive products for the bath. Our unique collection of embroidered and fabric-trimmed embellished towels, along with our collection of coordinating bath accessories, shower curtains and rugs makes us the undisputed leader in the decorative bath industry today. In 2009, we added table cloths, napkins, placemats and runners, along with kitchen textiles, anchored by the Spode and Portmeirion license. When Arthur and Sandy Tauber founded Avanti in 1969, they created a new product category-embellished towels. Over the next 45+ years, they continued to innovate and refine the category, remaining the dominant player in the industry. Dedicated to offering the very finest in embellished towels for the first 35 years of its existence, Avanti expanded into bath accessories, shower curtains and bath rugs in 2004. In 2009, we added table linens and kitchen textiles. With the expansion into these new products, our focus on great design, on-time delivery and outstanding customer service has remained our top priority. Avanti has grown steadily since opening the first showroom and factory on 36th Street in New York. The company moved in 1971 to 27th Street, and again in 1974, to Eighth Avenue and 16th Street, each move in anticipation of future growth. In 1986, Avanti moved to its current location in Moonachie, NJ, first occupying 65,000 square feet. We expanded 3 more times within the current location, now occupying the entire 175,000 square foot facility where our 150+ employees embroider, sew, pick, pack and ship all of our products. All design, marketing, sales and administrative functions are also housed here. Our current assortment of decorative towels features more than 150 styles covering a wide range of looks: traditional, floral, contemporary, coastal, tropical, southwest and lodge/lake . We also cover these looks in our bath accessories collections, with an assortment of 35+ styles. Avanti can be found in almost every department store, specialty store and better independent retailer in the US, as well as many retailers in Canada, Mexico and many other countries around the world.
