Description
CHAMBORD is a true original – the classic French Press coffee maker designed in the fifties. And we still produce it with the same painstaking craftsmanship we used way back when with the original. The frame and lid, made of steel, undergo several chrome plating processes to obtain a durable shiny surface that will last for many years of intense use. The only difference in the production process since the fifties is our commitment to the highest standards of environmentally correct manufacturing, which is especially important during the chrome plating process. The black CHAMBORD Polypropylene handle comes in a matte finish that not only gives a comfortable grip while serving but adds to the classic quality of the design. The French Press system has always been the simplest and ultimate way of brewing an excellent cup of coffee. Using fresh coarse ground beans with water between 197 and 204ºF (Just below a boil) brings out the very best in all types of coffee.

A: It can not make 64 oz it is a 32 oz capacity!

A: Inside of the lid where the coffee filters out when being poured are made of 100% BPA Free Plastic. The filter/plunger is made of stainless steel; however. Enjoy!

A: Absolutely! When making cold brew we recommend using 3 Bodum Scoops (Included) for every 8 Oz. of cold brew you would like to make. Since this does not come with a spare flat lid; like our Bean Cold Brew coffee maker; we recommend sealing the carafe with saran wrap when placing in the fridge to keep the coffee aromas in and any competing aromas from your fridge out. The glass carafe breaks easily. I barely tapped the plastic top of my coffee grinder to put some excess grounds in the carafe and the top portion of the glass broke off. Bodum's warranty does not cover the glass, and they declined to replace it.

I had my Bodum coffee press for 20 plus years, yet it was stored away while I tried all of the other coffee brewer brands out there. I pulled out my Bodum French press and returned to the old fashion best coffee ever method. Mine broke when I dropped a spoon inside so sad. Obviously I needed to replace it with another Bodum coffee press and back to great coffee.

Bought this twice. Only because it got knocked off the counter. Otherwise we’ve been very happy with this product. Before the break we had had this press for at least 4 years with minimal use as my son does not drink coffee a lot but wanted to try French pressed coffee.

It's a basic French press but what I don't like about it is that there is no measurements so you don't know how much water you are pouring in. I've had to pre-measure the water and mark on the glass chamber so I know how much water to put in every morning but it's extremely tedious so I will be returning

Daily use put this cheap French press in the trash in just over 30 days. It is pretty but not built to last. The handle and inside strainer are also plastic. I bought this because it looked plastic-free. It's not! The press started to get jammed after about two weeks, and now it's impossible to push down. the filter keeps falling off. the glass used to be secure in the frame but now it slips out so I have to be very very careful when pouring my coffee not to just drop the full glass of hot coffee onto the counter. spend your money on something better!

I decided to upgrade to this Boudin model of French press after my previous, basic Boudin got damaged in a kitchen fire. Ready to use out of the box, it performed well and produced some nice-tasting coffee after brewing for the suggested four minutes. The only disappointment was that I was trying to get a brewer with zero plastic parts. This one does have the expected plastic in the handle and top, while the carafe body is a Pyrex-like treated glass which handles hot liquids well. The girding around the carafe is solid stainless steel. The glossy silver top, however, is plastic made to look like metal—which came as a letdown (can you tell that I hate plastic?). At least the plunger rod and filter is solidly built metal and it works well. It takes more effort to push the plunger down, but that tight fit ensures that no grounds will get into the coffee.

The metal sleeve is poorly constructed. The glass wobbles around inside the sleeve and easily comes sliding out when pouring. The metal sleeve won't sit flat on the counter. It wobbles around.

My Bodum French Press I've used almost daily for 15 years got knocked of my counter (by me!) and broke into a thousand shards of sharp glass. I brew loose leaf tea or shredded cacao beans in a French Press often and had to get a new one. I searched for another Bodum brand press, but I guess they don't make that same one anymore. Plain. straight sided, flat bottom, firm-fitting lid and insert. I got the Bodum 32 oz Chambord because most of the others are mega-modern and I don't like the style...Sadly, the 4 or 5 times I've used it, it has leaked and it doesn't pour well. Not sitting flat on the counter, it sits on raised feet, part if its attached metal frame. It makes it wobbly. I wouldn't buy this one again.

I purchased this for my husband for our 15th wedding anniversary. He is so hard to shop for, he literally has everything. New Year's Eve we were at a restaurant that gave each of us a small coffee press with our dessert. It was a very cool presentation and delicious! My husband really enjoyed it so... VOILA! He has used this press once. I gave him a bag of ground DD coffee to use. He said it was a little bitter. We believe that the coffee was too fine. I'm buying him a grinder today so he can make the grounds more course. He thinks that will be the key. All in all, he loves the press. He said it gives a feeling of luxury & says it's a nice break from the Keurig. It is also very easy to clean. I recommend this to anyone who enjoys coffee.
