I have deep scars from acne all over my cheeks and forehead, and most foundations tend to emphasize the divots more than my natural skin. Brushing/blotting a little bit of the HD powder over my face once my makeup base is complete does an incredible job of blurring my skin from a distance. Buyer beware—up close, you might just look like you have Edward's "skin of a killer" from Twilight. The effect is best on camera or 3+ ft away. If you are standing next to a mirror, you will see your skin shimmer. The formula is made of incredibly small shimmery particles, so I absolutely understand other reviewers' reservations. To their concerns, I would say moderation is key. you only need a tiny amount to achieve the desired effect.

Really great powder just accidentally got shimmer instead of translucent and felt like Edward Cullen but if that’s your vibe go for it

this powder is so good it keeps my makeup on all day. i use it to set my eyebrows and eyeliner and it makes everything smudge proof

love this product but i haven’t noticed any shimmer/sparkles like others have mentioned (this may be because i have the translucent one). i think this product is insanely underrated!!!!

Didn't love this powder more ends up in the air than on your face. I like the shear feel but more ended up on my clothes than my face.

I like it, but wish it didn't have the shimmer. Seems that a lot of ELF products are shimmer/glitter/glow, which isn't my taste. However, product works well.

I really liked this powder aside from the massive amount of glitter in it. The powder left an incredible finish on my skin but with all the glitter it just looked like I smeared highlighter everywhere.

This is my favourite setting powder. I’m on my 5th or 6th jar already. It adds beautiful and delicate radiance, helps to tame dewiness of sunscreen, and blurs fine lines and pores

So I bought this powder years ago and have not restocked since because I have tried other powders, but now I plan on buying this powder cause A.) I'm no longer the shade of my pressed powder, but B.) this powder ACTUALLY BLURS. I would use this at the end or to touch up because I knew this powder would blur my pores and shine. I would often use sunscreen that left me looking EXTRA oily, but this powder came in clutch and made me look blurred. I think this product is perfect for the final beat or touch-ups! (btw since it is a powder, it could make a mess so be careful!)

This is a gorgeous product. It’s a little sheer for my liking but if u want a very soft powder that adds the perfect amount of shimmer this is a go to!

It makes your skin look really good, although it is messy and I feel like it wears off fast.
