Garnier Fructis Style Pure Clean Extra Strong Hold Hair Paste - 2oz

The packaging has changed but the product hasn't - I've been using this for years to tame the little baby hairs around my face. Great product, doesn't feel heavy or greasy.

I just tried this on my layers. Dry second day hair, just on the crown and bangs. I followed the directions to warm the product in my hands before applying. It distributed well and dried in 10 ish minutes without a sticky finish. The scent is ok, sweet but fades fast. But the hold is virtually non-existent. It didn't define my short layers and looked like I hadn't used it at all. It left a little shine behind. I had to tease the layers a bit to get any definition. Disappointing. Two stars for the shine and non-sticky finish.

I wear my hair in a bun every day for work, and it works perfectly. My hair doesn’t even need to be wet for it to work really well. It stays put throughout my entire eight-hour shift and doesn’t leave flakes afterwards if I don’t wash my hair.

A warning to anyone who dyes their hair, I don’t believe this product is color safe. After using only twice I noticed significant fading and brassiness to my hair color in the areas where it was applied. This was the only new product in my hair care regimen, so I know it was the culprit. It also didn’t do a great job of keeping my flyaways at bay.

A little goes a long way. It’s a good product to form a piecey hair style. I don’t think it has a really strong hold for fine hair.

I use it to hold down my frizz atop my head when wearing a ponytail. Works all day.

Great product, the only thing that works in my boyfriend’s hair! Unfortunately they discontinued this from Canada as you can’t seem to find it anywhere and all the other versions aren’t good. Please bring this product back!

Bring back the fiber gum putty

Only hair product that my husband will use that holds and doesn’t make his hair look greasy.

This brings my curls under control, prevents frizz, and tames flyaways. I love it.

Growing out pixie can be challenging until finding this product. I am serious life changing for not only my hair the fact unscented cruelty vegan formula is noteworthy. My hair never looked better. Garnier Thank you! xoxo

The Pure Clean Finishing Paste used to be a great product. I've been using this product for more than 5 years and recently I've found it to be making my hair extremely oily. To my surprise, I hadn't realised the formula had changed. My daughter always picks this up for me from work, as she works in a big chain pharmacy that carries it, so I don't really pay much attention to it, I did notice the packaging had changed, but not the formula. Unfortunately, Garnier has added aloe to this product which makes it extremely greasy. I was in grocery store recently that still had some of the old product and I bought some, what a huge difference, no more oily hair. It seems everything these days has some type of oil or aloe added to it, not everyone wants or needs the added oil. Garnier, please remove the aloe as those of us with oily skin/hair don't need the added oils. Or make 2 products, one with aloe and one without. I'm extremely disappointed as I don't know what I will use to style my hair after the older version i bought recently runs out.

It doesn't work, no hold or anything. More like a smoothing paste.

Bought this product but found it very heavy even when used sparingly.

Love this for styling my kiddos hair. So many styling creams come with an overwhelming smell, but this one has minimal scent, which is perfect for my kids.

I've used this for years now. I just just a very small amount to help hold me bangs in place through the day. Use too much and they'll look dirty, but use just a bit and it helps to hold all day. Love it!

Very little hold. Ok for adding texture but not much else.

I used this for a slick back bun liked it but hair felt very heavy. Like the product was too heavy.

We’ve been using this product for some time and love it.

This is the best paste or palmade I have used. It holds well but my hair stays soft and natural. I have tried many alternatives, but this is simply the best and a great value.
