Instant Pot 4qt Rio Mini Electric Pressure Cooker

Our Instant Pot IP-Lux got a nasty dent during our move, so we were looking for a replacement. We're in a smaller apartment now and needed something that wouldn't eat up our counter space—the Rio Mini checked all the boxes. Size-wise, it's perfect. Way smaller footprint than the IP-Lux, which matters when you're working with limited counter real estate. Just me and my wife eating, so the 4-quart size works great. We get dinner plus leftovers without cooking way too much food. Some nice upgrades from the old IP-Lux: That anti-spin pot makes it better—no more wrestling with the inner pot spinning around when you're trying to stir. The progress indicator actually shows you what's happening instead of leaving you guessing like the IP-Lux did. Also, the steam release is on the front now instead of the top, which just makes more sense (now that I have it). Pressure cooks just as well as our old one, but everything feels smoother—easier seal, simpler controls, less of a pain to clean. We mostly use pressure cook, sauté, and rice mode, and they all work great. Worth it if: You're downsizing, have a small kitchen, or just cook for a couple people. Does everything the bigger Instant Pots do without taking over your counter. Happy we went with this over replacing our IP-Lux with another full-size model.

The features are very nice to have multiple options for cooking. It’s like a mini electric stove on a counter top. Perfect for smaller kitchens. It’s also a nice way to mix ingredients in and leave to cook to accomplish other tasks. Our favorite feature is making the yogurt. The app is very helpful as well in providing recipes. We’ve tried several like risottos and steamed veggies.

The Instant Pot Rio Mini (in Truffle) has quickly become the most hardworking appliance in my kitchen — truly a workhorse. It replaced several other gadgets I used daily: my rice cooker, a few pots and pans, even some of my stovetop routines. The result? Way more counter space and way less clutter. Despite its compact size, it handles everything I throw at it. From quick weeknight meals to slow-cooked recipes, it hasn’t let me down. Plus, the Truffle color looks sleek and modern — a nice aesthetic bonus. If you're tight on space or just want one appliance that can do the job of many, this one’s totally worth it.

I've never owned a pressure cooker before but this little Rio is capable of doing so much more, I just couldn't resist trying it out. With the cool autumn weather approaching, I'd love to make soup as often as possible. The first meal I made with my mini Rio was curry. I sautéed the vegetables in the pot first, then continued to make the curry in the same pot. The curry, with potatoes and shrimp, cooked in less than 30 minutes and was delicious! The flavors infused beautifully AND there was very little cleanup considering everything was done in the same pot. The Rio is compact, super cute and will get used WAY more than I expected!

I have wanted a Instant Pot cooker for a while now, I was thrilled when it arrived how compact and light weight it was which is great for storage purposes. Super easy to use and cleans very easily. I have made a few meals already and it works like a dream. I highly recommend this product.

I have had an Instant Pot for 10 years and just decided to upgrade to a new one. It's so easy to use and visually appealing to have out while cooking. Very happy with the purchase and everything I have made with it!
