A: Before I answer your question, I will say this is a great rug. A stager recommended this rug to me because it goes with so many decors. It is durable, and it doesn't stain from spills. My 8 month old son has pulled out a few weave bundles, and it is noticeable, but the rug still looks good. He crawls on this rug, and it makes his knees red. This was an excellent purchase, and like I said, a professional stager loves to recommend this rug to her clients (like me) because it complements a room at a reasonable price.

It lays in front of our rear sliding door and gets stepped on a daily basis by our family and dog. We vacuum it regularly, but besides that, it maintains itself and doesn't shed. If a friend's dog hadnt shredded it while we were gone, we would still be using it. I just came back to Target's website to buy the exact same one.

Q: How is this rug to vacuum

A: Do not vacuum the rug! We had it for 2 months and went to vacuum it and it pulled up the "woven" jute literally in two inch pulls. Horrible construction - getting ready to throw them out. If you want a rug that is easy to keep clean, I would not suggest this one. You would have to shake out the rug and only spot clean. However, do note that if something sits for too long it will stain and get in-between the fibers and you can't get it out.

Q: I want to use this in my foyer at the lakehouse. Often people have wet shoes. would I need to immediately spot clean/dry off or can a bit of water puddle on it?

Q: Is there a way I can pull the weaving back through the rug? I have had the rug for very short time, and it's unraveling in spots. We aren't rough on it, not in big traffic area, and we don't have pets

looks like a lot of reviews are rating this really poor quality and it's going to fall apart and shed in a short amount of time. I figure though for just $50 before tax, and putting it in front of some doors where it will get no wear, that it will last hopefully - will have to not vacuum it and be very fragile with it - because it does look really good and for rugs this size and look, I have seen them for $300.

Put this in my entry and never vacummed it with the beater on since I know this style of rug doesn't like it. Regardless, it started falling apart so rapidly. The weave is so loose and there are so many "cut ends" that pop out of the rug, creating massive tufts that are very unbecoming. The edges are pulling out creating "loops" that then snag. Waste of money.

This is my 3rd of this exact rug. You get what you pay for. It’s inexpensive and works fine but after a while it starts to fray. After it frays it will completely start coming apart. Mine is at the point where I’m finding parts of the rug shedding throughout my downstairs.

I think jute rugs are definitely a person preference, but I am a huge fan of them! They don’t show dirt like most rugs do, which makes it great for an entryway. Many of the reviews say that it comes undone, but I have yet for that to happen, but it is also a given with jute rugs as they tend to fray a bit. Definitely take into consideration when buying that these are a personal preference!!

I've had this rug/runner in my mud/laundry room for well over a year. It is walked on daily and still looks as good as new. It's comfortable to walk on with bare feet and easy to vacuum. I have a non slip mat under it to prevent it from slipping. I love this rug and am currently looking at my t it add another to my home.
