Q: What grade of stainless steel are these? 18/10?

A: Hello, Julia. 18/0 means there is NO nickel content in this flatware, which makes it cheap junk. It will dull and rust. There is no difference between 18/8 and 18/10 and those numbers aren't even actually used by steel manufcturers. They use a different classification system and it would be 304 stainless steel, which manufacturer's of flatware label either 18/8 or 18/10. That is SUPPOSED to mean that they are 8% and 10% nickel, respectively, but in truth, the 304 stainless steel from which they are manufactured falls in a range of between 8% and 10% nickel, and most usually falls at around 8.5%, regardless of what the manufacturer labels it. Personally if they call it 18/8 I feel they are being more truthful than those who label it 18/10, but regardless, it makes no difference. It's all still 304.

I absolutely LOVE the weight and feel of this silverware, it is my absolute favorite I have ever used. I have not had any issues with rust and I don’t usually get around to dishes immediately, lol. I purchased originally in June 2022 and have tried to purchase more since but the closest shape available is different and doesn’t match the ones I already have. I hope they end up making them in this style again, I would love to have more than one set.

I didn't read the negative reviews but I read the pamphlet inside the box and we are warned not to let them soak....they rust which is surprising for stainless ..so at the end, not expensive but too much hassle

Love this set! About to buy my third not to replace the originals, but just to have more around. They changed the shape slightly from 2019 when I bought my first set but not enough that I really even notice. They have sat in the sink overnight and are always washed in the dishwasher— no rust.

This is the second set I’ve purchased and I’m overall still pleased but if you’re trying to match them exactly to the last model, they are smaller and slightly different shape. It’s not noticeable enough to return so I kept them but SHRINKFLATION is in full effect! Also read the directions and don’t let them sit in water to avoid rust.

Absolutely love this silverware set. I know there are some bad reviews, but my experience was great. I don’t have issues with them being too heavy or flipping off the plate/bowl. I actually love the weight to the them. I do want to note that I do not have a dishwasher, so they are hand washed. I suspect maybe the issue is that they don’t hold up in the dishwasher as much as advertised, but who knows. I can only rate on my experience and they’ve been amazing. I may even purchase another set!

I purchased a 40 piece set of this about 3 years ago. I love the look but that is not enough. The handles are so heavy that if you lay a piece on the edge of your plate, it will fall to the floor. I thought that I could live with this but I am in the process of buying a new set by a different make and pattern.

This flatware is stunning! I've moved a lot and started from scratch this time. I wanted a hammered effect to go with my beverages glasses and this was perfect! This is my second set. I may order a third if needed. I do wish a serving accessory set was available.

These utensils seem to flip themselves right out of your bowl or off your plate. This never happens with any other utensils I use. They do this due to the unnecessarily heavy handles. After cleaning countless stains out of my carpet, having to get back up to wash the flying utensil, or wiping up yet another spill on tile, I'm done. Getting a new set by anyone other than Arkita.

We bought 2 sets of these and I absolutely love the design but we haven't had this silverware for 6 months yet and they are starting to rust. The handles of the silverware are completely tarnished. It's so frustrating and not worth the money we spent. The description says "dishwasher safe" but that is clearly not the case.
