I am so sad that they changed the formula. This leaves a green/yellow cast and just doesn't cover the way the old formula did. Please bring back the old primer!!

I have been using this primer for years since its release and no other primer has yet strayed me from it! Its finish is mattifying, lasts me about 8 hours before any oil peeks through my makeup. It is unscented. My only gripe is the packaging makes it hard to get what is left when the product is low. But I make a way haha!
Smells like paint thinner (cant be good)

I have used this product a few days and it kind of comes off right away when using a beauty blender so next I just used my fingers and it was better. But I didn't really notice a huge difference.

I was so disappointed in this new formulation. I received it in the mail and assumed it was just new packaging, but it doesn't go on as smoothly as the original. The original was cream to powder. This has the texture of sunscreen and has to be rubbed in. I hate it. It definitely doesn't make foundation go on smoother. I'll be trying to find another brand's dupe of the original from now on.

This stuff does help conceal my redness on my cheeks and my chin due to acne. I like using this with another primer as it doesn't seem to be the best at making my foundation stay.

I had a brain lapse and bought this by mistake – meant to buy the NYX brand color correcting primer. $12 vs. $42… This junk is horrible! I want to throw it away but I paid so much for it, I’ll suffer until it’s gone! It doesn’t blend easily! It does not rub in. It does not provide full coverage – looks patchy – and this is after my normal skincare routine has fully dried.
Not as good as the old one

I am so disappointed with the new smashbox anti redness primer. I had been using the old one for years and loved how well it covered my redness, how smoothly it went on and how silky my skin felt. The new formula is a real letdown - it leaves a sticky finish which makes it almost impossible to apply foundation over, doesn't cover redness well and doesn't go on smoothly. So disappointing as the old one was perfect. I'll be returning this and looking for a new anti redness Primer. Or, Smashbox - bring back the old one!!

I can't tell you how disappointed I am with this product. I wore the previous smashbox green primer everyday for many years and was gutted it was discontinued. I have extreme redness and this new product makes absolutely no difference to it. It covers zero redness and leaves my skin looking oily and shiny. I'm really struggling to find a replacement for your previous primer. If you've any in stock that you would be willing to sell please let me know as I really loved it and unfortunately the new version just doesn't suit my skin at all.. Thanks 😊

Huge Disappointment

I have used the Smashbox Reduce Redness Primer for years and loved it. No matter how expensive it got, I would splurge because it worked and made my face feel amazing. The new formulation is nothing like the old. Where the old formula left my face blurred, poreless, and less red, the new version does nothing for redness and I end up feeling more oily after. I am so sad about this. Please bring back the original.

I have used the green primer for years. The new formula is very different. It does not go on well and does a poor job of minimizing redness. My foundation does not go on smoothly. I LOVED the product before it was changed. It was one of the few beauty products that I would be loyal to forever, regardless of cost. Oh well, first world problem, as they say. I will not be purchasing it in the future.

Disappointed that with the new branding came a change in formula/texture. It now goes on like a thick cream instead of the silk that use to be.
I will try it

Using urban decay setting powder this foundation stays on all day and is the first one to not completely disappear in my dry skin. I will say that without that setting powder, my problem areas seem to "suck up" the makeup but this has been the best makeup in 10 years!
It's great!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I loved that thus created a matte base for my makeup and helped keep my oil at bay throughout the day.

Bought this instead of the discontinued Oil & Shine Control Primer. It works, but not as good and doesn't last nearly as long as the discontinued version. Please bring back the old one! :(

I recently received a free sample of this in the mail after seeing a free pop up ad on Facebook and Instagram. I was able to choose which one I wanted to try out. I wanted to try out this one and some others, like a hydrating or matte one. But, I really wanted to try this one out. Can't wait to try it out soon! Hope it covers up my redness!
Please bring back old formula.

This new formula doesn't cover redness or my pores. The old formula was my "go to" product. My daughter and my mom also used it. But all three of us agree this new formula is just sub par. We won't be buying it again until you go back to original formula.
Awful new formula!

Let me start by saying I've been a loyal Smashbox user for 20 years. This new formula was absolutely awful for my Rosacea (the kind with bumps) and my aging skin (I turned 40 this year). It didn't cover up redness, didn't prime or smooth my skin, didn't blur fine lines and very difficult to blend in foundation (I use Smashbox studio skin 24 hour oil free hydra). I'm so dissatisfied and distraught trying to find another product that will work for my skin. PLEASE BRING BACK THE OLD FORMULA.
