It has been a long time since I’ve read a book voraciously. For those who came to the fantasy genre by way of Game of Thrones, this book delivers so much - history, magic, politics. The world building is incredible and the voice the author has is decidedly adult, which is surprising comping from a YA author. I’m itching for the next book!

I could hardly put this book down! I really enjoyed Cassandra Clare's wordbuilding and very lovely visual storytelling. She really paints a beautiful picture for her readers, and the characters and motivations are really layered and interesting! 10/10!
