Olive & June Gel Nail Polish - 0.46 fl oz

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This color is the perfect neutral shade that goes with everything. I love the barely there look while also feeling like my nails are done and beautiful.

I liked the polish quite a lot, the color was nice but I had to use more than the two recommended layers for it to be fully covered. I previously tried other HEMA based polishes and had allergic reactions so I thought to try this one since it said HEMA-free, well...I ended up getting contact dermititis from using this polish. My fingers started stinging within hours of using the polish and blisters formed within 24 hours. The last gel polish I used only caused my cuticles to swell a bit, this was a whole different issue and it was a bit worse. I wouldn't recommend this polish if you've had issues like this with other gel polishes, but if you have no skin issues related to gel polishes I would highly recommend, it was a nice gel polish regardless.

I have gotten quite a few gels in the past couple of weeks and this is the worst one I've bought it stays sticky, no matter how long I've cured it

Babes, in the most loving way, if this isn't lasting it's because you're not prepping your nails or curing long enough. Also people saying it's sticky after? It's gel polish...you've gotta wipe it with alcohol to get rid of the sticky. I use my hands all day long and this polish doesn't budge. It's also HEMA free which means no allergic reaction like if you used something like Beetles Gel and got it on your skin. Also, and I cannot stress this enough, if you are working with Gel then you need a good lamp. For something like just Gel polish, go get yourself a SunUV lamp. For actual application, I do my cuticle care with my drill, then lightly buff my nail plate, wash my hands, wipe the nail plate with alcohol, then apply my base and cure for 90 seconds. Then I apply a layer, cure for 90 seconds and apply another which I also cure for 90 seconds. Then I apply my top coat and cure for...you guessed it 90 seconds HAHA if I ever get polish on my skin, I take a nail brush dipped in polish remover and clean it up before curing. Then after it's allllll cured, I take an alcohol wipe and wipe the top. Boom, lasts me like a month (or until I can't stand the grow out and change them). You've got this, give yourself some grace and time to learn and you'll have gorg (safe <3) nails in no time queen.

Horrible! I love painting my nails. I bought my fav non-gel O&J color (GH) in the gel polish. It is so thick that it is so hard to work with. Once cured, it also feels a bit sticky. Stick with their regular (non-gel) polish! Wasted $30 (base, color and top coat polish).

The absolute perfect neutral pink. I wear this under so many sheers (gel, LL, or QD) to cover the whites or any discoloration in my nails, making them look practically perfect.

I’m a long time lover of all of Jones’s regular nail polish so I thought I would try the gel nail polish out. This polish lasted me not even three hours. I thought it could’ve been my application but I’ve tried three different times and it does not last. I have tried other gel nail polishes with the UV light and they have all lasted way longer than Olive in June. I would not buy again.

Beautiful color, but this color is so sheer. I was expecting semi-sheer based on the complication of pics. I added a picture to this review, which is three coats. As a side note, if your nails appear damaged, they will show through the polish.

Better than Salon! I purchased the 3 step polishes. The polish lasts longer than professional polishes at the salon. I would recommend this product. I can’t wait to get more colors. I think this is a great deal!

Love the color bold & unshaken. It’s a great purple! I’ve used KMC as well and it was a great pale minty green! Easy to do, if doing your own I recommend one hand fully at a time!

Not the best and not the worst. Brush is too bulky. Gel is too thick and gloopy. If you’re careful you can get it to work. Wish there were more light neutral options. CCT is like a pale ballet slipper, but kinda greyish. It’s acceptable as a HEMA free option. No itching or reactions like other gels. It lasts 2 weeks with no lifting.

This was applied in 2 thin coats as directed and is a brighter red. Nowhere near the color of the bottle, which the colors are usually true to. That said, I’ve had it on for 2 days including a 45 minute swim workout and no peeling, chipping, lifting or fading.

Despite curing between coats and an additional two more times, the polish never fully cured and remains sticky. Never had this issue with other at home gel manicures.

I really don’t like how thick it is. I also for some reason had bumps in mine :/ I love the colors but wouldn’t pay this much when I can get other brands for better quality and cheaper. The only benefit is finding it in store and widely accessible.

Thick and hard to apply. My advice would use as a little product as possible, and then build up from it. It was so thick and goopy. It didn’t go on evenly. I haven’t waited long enough to see if it chips easily but just with the application and the thick brush. I was not a fan and I paint my nails all the time at home.

First time buying this brand of polish and it’s got amazing vibrant color. I hope it stays on as long as it claims ! So far no chipping and it’s glossy without a top coat. I’ll definitely buy it again. Love that it’s a clean product also, very hard to find a nail polish that is great quality and free from toxins !
