Description
Espoma Organic Garden Lime is the finest grade of pelleted, dolomite limestone available. It can be used anywhere in the garden and landscape where a higher (less acidic) soil pH is desired. It adjusts soil pH so plants are able to make the most of the fertilizer you apply. It will turn blue hydrangeas pink due to higher soil pH. Its fine pellets spread easily, react quickly, and do not pose the hazards associated with hydrated lime. Like all Espoma Organic products, no sludge or fillers are ever used. Made in Espoma's state-of-the-art solar powered manufacturing facility, so consistency and quality are guaranteed!

I have a small (12 x 20) garden just to "Piddle" around in. Still, healthy soil means healthier, nutrient packed produce. I appreciate the availability of the smaller, easier for me to handle packages. And, the price was great.

I use it in my vegetable gardens. It's safer to spread in breezy conditions, as it doesn't blow around like the pulverized lime does and less chance of inhaling it. And I like espoma products. Especially like supporting employee owned companies like Gardeners Supply.

My brother is an agronomist and horticulturist. He told me to use a little lime when I planted my root vegetables because it makes them milder and sweeter. Have been doing that for many years and he is right--the carrots, in particular, always are sweet and just so tasty. Have also used this with my tomatoes and it does seem to cut the acidity on some that tend to be more acidic.
