Nailtiques Formula 2 Nail Protein bonds the nail layers together building a strong nail foundation resistant to peeling, chipping, and splitting. This special formula was created for soft, peeling, bitten, weak, thin, or any sort of unhealthy nails. The salon tested formulation offers special combinations of ingredients, including hydrolyzed keratin and protein in combination with gelatin and calcium to help bond nails that are splitting or peeling, resulting in long, strong, and healthy nails. The formula is clear when applied on nails. After using this product, nails are sure to begin gaining strength and will be make unhealthy nails a thing of the past. Once desired results are achieved, graduate to Formula 1 Nail Protein to help maintain healthy, flexible nails.

Q: is this product an oil that you paint on or is it hard like a polish

A: Dries quick to a shine and hard like a polish. The best product I have ever used for my peeling nails.
submitted byLinda - 6 years agoA: You can wear as just a clear polish; I do 2 or 3 coats. Or I use 2 coats as a base coat, 1 or 2 coats of colored nail polish, and then use this as 1 coat for topcoat (in a day this will oxidize your color making it a bit darker). Better than acrylic nails if your nails peel from too much pool time or if you are a salt water diver. Will make your nails bullet proof.

A: Hi Kele! Apply daily. As nails respond, decrease application. Once nails have improved, return to Formula 2 until desired results are achieved. Hope this helps!

5 stars for the formula, 1 star for the packaging. Honestly, the formula is everything for my brittle nails. It’s the best nail strengthener I’ve been able to find. However, I travel a lot for work and fun, so I need to bring my nail strengthened with me. Unfortunately, this bottle does not travel well. Although it’s the ideal size for travel, I’ve had THREE different bottles leak in my bag. The first because the cap was faulty: the outer cap separated from the inner cap, so unbeknownst to me it wasn’t screwed on well. The other two simply leaked everywhere due to pressure changes - once on an airplane and once on a drive with elevation change. As you can imagine, it made an annoying mess - not to mention at $12 for a quarter oz, it was a huge waste of money. I’m super disappointed because I love the product but it sadly doesn’t fit my lifestyle if it’s going to keep leaking everywhere.

I have the same problem with Nailtiques 2 and also 2 Plus, which is that both formulas start peeling on the third day. I take great care of my nails, always wearing dishwashing gloves and not using as tools. I followed the exact instructions, tried several times and no matter what - they both start peeling on the third day. The only reason I gave 2 stars instead of one is that my nails look nice the first 2 days.

I have had brittle nails my entire life. They break off, split, and won’t grow. I have tried everything - every strengthening polish available, every type of polish, every type of cuticle oil, vitamins, etc. Nothing has helped at all. When I tried Nailitiques, I had three fingers on each hand that were broken down to the quick and bled painfully every day. It’s been about a month of using Nailitiques and my nails have all grown out and look the best they literally have in my entire life. I absolutely cannot get over how good they look - and that I can use them for things like opening cans! This has legit changed my life. I never had any of the burning or pain others describe in their reviews. It goes on like regular polish and dries quickly. I am blown away and so so happy with it.

I have only been using for about 3 weeks. It seems to be helping condition of my nails. Since they seem stronger. I have two complaints about this product. 1. The brush definitely needs to be longer. It requires constantly turning the bottle to get liquid onto the brush. 2. By the time you have used 3/4 of the bottle, the solution becomes much thicker and more difficult to spread. resulting in a somewhat bumpby finish.

Nailtiques Nail Protein is a great product. Before using this product my nails were soft and tearing off at the nail bed. I have only used it for a week but it has strengthened my nails and stopped the breakage and tearing, giving my nails a chance to grow. It's a life saver.

Literally a tiny amount of polish in a mini bottle for the price you would pay for an Indie brand strengthener. Works great but is unaffordable to keep using it and should come in a larger bottle with a better brush.

This stuff is amazing. It really works. I have two nails that kept splitting vertically and I could not grow them out last ten years. No more splitting with this! I love this product!It really strengthens your nails.I used other products before and honestly this one is the only one that helps my nails.The only complaint is after a few uses it really thickens up and you can’t use it anymore so is a waste of product and money.

I have used this product off and on for years. I bought a new bottle and went home and put on my 2 coats like usual and it started burning INCREDIBLY bad. I felt like someone was trying to chop the tips of my fingers off and it would not stop. I tried to stick it out to see if it got better but after the same amount of pain for 30min i removed the product and 15 minutes later it started to improve. I probably won't ever use this again which is very sad because in the past it was a great product.

Used this for the first time as base and top coat with Sand polish I use all the time and as soon as it began to dry my nails started burning. I removed it completely but am still experiencing the burning sensation, hopefully it calms down shortly. I’ve use Nailtiques 2 in the past with no issue but this is horrific. Never again with this brand.

Just tried this product on my nails, let me just say this was the worst pain I’ve ever experienced, and I’ve gone through labor! I quite literally thought I was going to throw up/pass out from the pain. It was actually making me sick! After 5 minutes I had to remove it from my nails but the pain still lasted for about 15 minutes after that. Will never buy from this company ever again. If you want to experience the pain of having your fingernails ripped off this is as close as you’ll get.
