The Sonus™ 65 Convertible Car Seat offers the ideal fit for both child AND car, AND an extended weight rating. The compact size fits 3 seats across in most mid-size vehicles, while the wider seat base fits a broader range of children. With a weight rating of 65 lbs, and a rear-facing weight rating of 40 lbs, your child can stay rear-facing and harnessed longer! This seat offers a built-in ventilation system, helping to keep child comfortable during long and short trips. Dual, integrated cup holders keep snacks and drinks within reach, and the removable, machine-washable seat pad makes inevitable cleaning of the seat far easier. Q: Is the forward facing weight limit for the color “City Lights” 65lbs or 50lbs? The description and specifications do not agree.

A: The weight limit is in fact 65lbs not 50lbs - ordered the color “City Lights” and the side says weight limit is 65lbs when securing with lap/shoulder belt whereas the limit when securing with latch is 50lbs.

Q: my daughter is six year old. She weight 39.2 pound. She is 43inch tall. How came she can't use the belt that was in the car seat. It is too short in her. The shoulder is fine but I buttle it on the bottom.

A: Convertible carseats don't have a base because they are not meant to be removed with the child inside. You would install the carseat directly into your car and leave it there.
submitted byChristina - 7 years agoA: There are belt paths on the side of the seat, one rear facing and one for forward facing. Your latch or vehicle seat belt will feed through the belt path and you would attach the latch to the anchors or if using vehicle seat belt you will just buckle the belt in. The seat will come with instructions which does show and explain how to install the seat.

We got this car seat first for our daughter and absolutely hated it. The straps were too hard to loosen and it never felt like it was secure because it moved too much and made a lot of noise. Even the fire department checked it out and reinstalled it multiple times! It never felt safe. Spend the extra $$ and buy a different car seat!

Great bang for your buck, this has old school hooks to attach to anchors and you have to rethread the harness to adjust everything. This is a great cost effective choice, it does not have all the bells and whistles but gets the job done!

To use as a rear facing car seat it’s poorly made. Everytime I try to tighten the seat belt on my toddler the whole seat would fall backwards. The part that makes it level for for rear facing is just piece of plastic that moves easily. I would never buy this seat again.

This was one of the most disappointing purchases ever. The seat simply cannot be tightened enough to make the car seat safe. The seat has nearly 6 inches of play no matter how much we try to tighten it. Seriously do not buy this. Target shouldn’t even carry it. My bet is that it is recalled in 6 months.

The only reason I gave it a 1 star is because it made me. The directions are confusing and I first I thought it was me but 4 other people that have kids tried and it wouldn’t 1- Get tight enough 2- The car seat isn’t stable at all ( it moves all around) 3- No matter what you do the car seat sits straight up like it should for a front facing not rear facing ( it’s supposed too) I’ve watched several long videos on YouTube and I’ve done everything possible and there’s no way I would put a baby doll in the car seat and drive around. I was so excited because I bought 2 I have 2 grandkids that are 4 months apart and I keep them regularly together so when I saw them on sale and I had a coupon I was excited to save some money but I guess I get what I pay for. Very disappointed and going to return and buy another brand that other parents and grandparents have highly recommended. Don’t waste your time and money.

The bad reviews are right. No matter what it won’t stay in place and won’t stay tightened down. Makes a loud squeaky noise as child moves in it. Very annoying! Not safe! Returning!

The car seat flys around in my back seat. Not safe for kids. No matter what I do my child is not secure. I have to put the arm rest down to hold it in place. I want my money back or a different type

Not only it’s so cheap looking but it’s not a safe car seat. We bought this as a second car seat for my husband car and it slides off no matter how tight it is. Just horrible. Save your money!
