Q: i bought this waterproof pad and i have some questions before i go return this product as it didn't quite satisfied me. i pour some water on it and it didn't absorb, why? can we use for it for newborn

A: While the above user is absolutely correct about the dangers of using loose blankets for sleeping infants, I believe this pad is intended to be used underneath a fitted crib sheet, which, if used as such, would make it safe to use for a crib. We used a similar setup with our babies and it did help protect the mattress with nighttime diaper leaks (and the dreaded blowout).

A: yes. I woke up sweating and baby was sweaty and crying. The house temp was 70f and we weren't using blankets

Q: Can I use fabric softener? Why do they not last more than about 6 washes? Manufacturer might want to quilt all the way through.

We’re desperately trying to ditch the pull-ups and this was purchased with the intent of not having to wash sheets and re-make the bed with every accident. It’s very soft, so laying it on top of a fitted sheet and sleeping on top of it is very comfortable, and it’s large enough that the child won’t move around and kick it off very easily. And it’s washable! Hopefully this saves me a ton of time and does a better job of training than the pull-ups did.

Our pediatrician actually recommended we get a mat like this for when our baby has diaper rash, to let them either have tummy time or just lay down on it naked to air it out. We did that a few times, but now we also use it after she’s had a bath and just let her air dry on this blanket. It has come in handy so many times! Especially when she has also had accidents while on it, haha.

I have been using this mat for the past 3 nights as I am overnight training my toddler boy. This has been so effective I am buying a second one to layer under a second set of sheets to make it even easier/faster to remove wet sheets overnight. This won’t stop getting their top blanket /top sheet wet but it does stop the fluid soaking through. A trick is I lay it across the mattress (vs vertical) on the fitted sheet and tuck it into the sides so it stays put. It does sleep a little hot- but manageable.

Is not waterproof! I got this for potty training purposes. The first night my toddler had an accident it went through this pad into my sheets as well as the mattress pad. Made it all the way to the mattress. This is so misleading and frustrating. I even doubled it over; barely increased protection. Buy something else!

This is a wonderful waterproof pad. I love it for babys changing area and his sleeping area. It's plushy feeling so cozy to have right in the bassinet over the topof the sheet. I thought it was a titch pricy but then again, I can't make one like this for any cheaper. It's like velvet almost on the top layer, embossed velvet . Very cozy for babies. And yes totally water proof.

I did a ton of research after getting my child their first big kid mattress. I wanted something that would protect the mattress from accidents and illness. That’s how I found these pads. I use these under their sheets and they have held up so well. I put them on the couch under my child when they’re home sick, to protect my couch from vomit. I also used these on my own bed, under my sheets, when I was pregnant in case my water broke at night. These do a great job catching liquids, and I appreciate that they’re much more eco-friendly than disposable pee pads

Literally my only complaint is that it moves around- I wish they made this exact thing but that it could serve as a toddler (and another version for twin size!) mattress protector- like that goes totally over the mattress. This thing is legit waterproof. We use it on all of our kids' beds, but also to change diapers on. Very easy to wash and holds up really well after many, many washes. We have so many of these because they're that awesome. Now Pillowfort- please make them into full mattress protectors in twin and toddler sizes!! Thank you :)

Completely waterproof! I was shocked to see reviews stating otherwise. My 5 year old still has accidents during naps and nighttime, so I wash these FREQUENTLY and put them in the dryer, they are still in perfect condition and Ive had no leaks. Bonus, this product makes nearly no sound!
