Item is as described, and what you would expect to a particle board item at this price point. The two main pieces (top and bottom) both arrived with large gouges and scratches from manufacturing (not from shipping). Manufacturers sent replacement parts within a week, but those replacement parts also arrived with significant damage, again from manufacturing, not shipping. Not worth fooling with another round of replacement parts, but disappointed. Would order something else if I could re-do it.
Assembly is simple enough, but you do need a drill and some basic know-how.
