I bought this in hopes that I would be able to use it until my son was a teenager. Only to find out that after 16 months, I’m needing to buy a new bed because there is no such thing as the toddler conversion kit for this bed. Unless you want to take the front off and leave the side bars, exposed and allow your toddler to roll out of bed, You might want to buy something new. Apparently, none of the guards are compatible for this bed either.

I purchased this crib for my first baby in December 2020. I came back to find the weight limit (50 lbs) and stubbmled upon too many poor reviews of this crib. I was shocked. This crib has held my baby plus myself or my husband on multiple occasions as we climb in and out to sooth him back to sleep. We transitioned to a toddler bed on the lowest setting and simply added a crib rail to prevent falls. My toddler loves his bed! He is now 3, still in the toddler setting, just raised to the highest setting and this bed is still holding together perfectly! Easy to build and change. Sturdy and a great price !

Does NOT convert to toddler bed. I bought the $50 toddler bed conversion rail that is supposed to go with the bed and it does NOT work. It also cannot be a toddler bed even without a rail as the front legs of the crib are attached to the front panel. Very dumb. Fine for a crib but no longevity. VERY misleading description and photos.

Hi, thanks for reaching out. This crib does convert into a toddler bed. If your crib is a different or older version it may not be compatible. You can still convert this crib without the guard-rail as it is optional. Please make sure the correct guard-rail is purchased.

I first bought this crib for my first baby without really knowing too much about anything but it held up really well so I just bought it again for my second baby! It’s a simple, sleek crib at a great price point. For those reviews saying it doesn’t come with a toddler conversion guardrail, it literally states that it isn’t compatible with any graco guardrail. This version of a toddler bed doesn’t include a guardrail but I still think it’s a great crib and you definitely get your moneys worth.

the crib literally came with NO instructions and was missing a whole side of the crib. 10/10 do not buy. i’m due in 4 weeks and the fact that i have to go thru this stress bc this crib is so dumb literally makes me angry.

As other posters have mentioned, this is not a 4-in-1 crib, it's a 1-in-1 crib. You need to purchase extra parts, which are impossible to find, to convert the crib into other layouts. The is particularly frustrating for me as I'm a mom of twins and now, as my kids approach their first birthday, have two worthless cribs. Additionally, the paint on these cribs comes off and had major thin spots all over when we received them. Not impressed with the quality or the promise of the longevity/convertibility of the item.

I bought this two years ago and wish-listed the toddler rail and bed extension to buy when it was needed- so I KNOW they were available at one point. Well now those extensions are nowhere to be found ANYWHERE and I have to buy a completely new bed. Terrible move since I thought I bought a convertible crib, turn out it’s just a crib.

Please note that guardrail is compatible with Benton Crib & Changer (not compatible with regular version of Benton crib). However, your crib it is totally safe to use as a Toddler Day bed as long as you follow the instructions that came with the crib.

Great until you need to convert it. We just took the front panel off but after use for a month, the side panel cracked due to the stress. Now it’s garbage. Really disappointed. The crib we got for our second kiddo came with a bar, could never find one for this crib.

Same as everyone else. Bought this crib thinking we would easily be able to convert it to a toddler bed. Nope. Toddler rail (pebble gray) appears to be nonexistent and paint chipped from teething. Would never have purchased it if I knew we would have to buy a brand new bed.

I love the color and the sturdiness of the crib it was bought as a gift and it’s beautiful. The front section and back section need to be reversed. If the sticker says this side inside flip it around that’s how it works.

Hi Mama B, Thank you for your feedback. The Graco Benton 4-in1 Crib does not require additional parts to convert. To convert the crib to a day bed you need to adjust the mattress brackets to the 2nd drilled hole. For toddler's bed conversion the front rail needs to be removed and the mattress brackets adjusted to the lowest level.

We bought this crib because it says converts to a toddler bed, and now that my daughter is ready for the toddler bed, it’s evident how misleading this product description is. There’s no conversion kit included like what we were under the impression by the product description for the toddler bed, and now we are out more money as we will have to buy more.

To convert your crib to a toddler's bed, you will need to remove the front rail and adjust the mattress brackets to the lowest level. Should you require the toddler guard rail for extra support, this can be purchased separately.

So disappointed with this purchase. First it arrived damaged. It took forever to get replacement parts. The little guy has used it a couple of times and now the paint is coming off. Where is the paint going? (guy has no teeth) Can't be good for my little guy to get this in his body. This isn't going to last to be converted. Don't waste your money. I am so embarrassed.

I was so excited on how much of a deal I was getting especially for my first child! And I bought most of my nursery furniture from target. First off the packaged showed up messed up and taped all over them I start to put it together so many dents and then I notice and huge crack in the side bar :( I’m so disappointed and sad about it. Only offered a refund no replacement...

Cute crib! No baby to put in there yet but sturdy & very easy to put together. All of the parts are numbered, you don’t need any outside tools. I have been burnt before by buying furniture only to find out that someone didn’t put all the screws back in. The packaging of the hardware was sealed individually for your peace of mind.

Purchased in July 2020. Basically a good crib, though many of the wooden surfaces were rough and needed to be gently sanded before I could use it. My biggest question is how to convert to a toddler bed. Where do I get the wooden bar with the Graco logo on the front bottom? If I remove the front panel, as the instructions suggest, then there's nothing holding the front of the crib together. In other views on other websites, the assembled Benton crib shows a second crosspiece in front, leaving one when the panel is removed, but that's not the case for the Benton crib Target sold me. The box certainly did not contain an extra crosspiece. Help?
