I thought these would be great to affix to my wall to hang foam decorations and it was great until believe it or not the command hook came off the wall and took some of the paint on my wall with it! I was really shocked since I've used Command products in the past to hang things MUCH heavier than some foam decorations.

I bouth the Medium wire hooks to hang christmas decorations 2lbs or less. I used before and they worked good. This time... not good. I even changed the stick pad and it kept falling from the wall. Disappointed.

We have bought several Command hooks for our front door and they never last more than a day or two if that. We even tried the 4 lb strips and nothing holds, we have always cleaned the glass as required and let dry but they have NEVER held. We tried 2-3 on sheet rock for some small items less than 8 oz they did not hold through the day. These are a joke and a waste of money.

The latest installation is to hang the controls for my bed heaters and to hang potholders on in my kitchen. I've managed properties for over 15 years and always recommend tenants use command hooks instead of nails for hanging items to avoid damaging walls. They hold tight but are easy to remove if they were installed correctly to begin with.

Im using on the side of my trash can near the top /upside down...I can then take the pull string on trash bags and attach to the hooks there fore keeping the trash bag open etc. when full just take the pull string from the hooks and pull out of trash can. So very helpful.

I bought these while remodeling and was so excited not to have holes in the walls for pictures and such. I hung 5 in one day in different rooms in the house. I followed the directions exactly. When everything was ready I hung my pictures. Three out of five fell off the wall and took the paint off of the sheet rock with them. I will not use these again. They 'do harm.' P.S. No photos taken. I just fixed the damage.

I have used these hooks and others in multiple ways in my house, and always been happy with them- until now. We are moving, which means taking the hooks off our walls. Almost all of the removal strips broke and did not release. I had to use a screwdriver to get them off the walls; the adhesive took a chunk of my drywall with it. I would have had less damage with nails!
