submitted by3MHelps - 5 years agoBrand expertA: It has instutions on the product. I usually attach the adhesive to the hook then hold for ten seconds to bond. Then leave it over night. The next day I push it against then wall cabnet or whatever surface for ten seconds. Then leave it for 24 hours. This is overkill, but seems to work! Next day I hang the thing on it. It urks me when people do not answer these questions and then just give a phone number. We all can learn from real answers! There is a wall side and one to put on the hook. It is marked. It does pull of the plaster if a textured finish. I like the comand adhesive products because I can hang junk up and not have a handi man inside during COVID. I also cannot find anyone because of COVID. Living in apartments this is so important. Dont want to invest. Hope this helped.

Yeah, these are pretty bad…the actual hook is great and is exactly what I needed to be able to hang lights inside our apartment. But the adhesive is virtually non-existent. Even after following the directions (letting them adhere for an HOUR before hanging anything), they still fell. However, I’ve found that cutting the “picture frame” adhesive strips down and sticking them on the backs of these hooks works wonderfully! Worth the buy for the hooks, but be prepared to find your own way to make them actually stick and stay put.

I’ve used command hooks for years and even the medium in this type. I’m not sure what they have done. But the clear ones in both small and medium are now awful. Wasted money and won’t hold anything

Waste of money

Just bought two new packages and they do not adhere to the wall. After following the directions of pressing for 30 seconds and waiting 1 hour and hanging a very lightweight felt garland, these are all falling off the walls. When you touch the back to check the adhesive it is barely tacky. We have used these for years previously but they must have changed something, because they no longer function as intended.

I thought I would keep these on hand to be able to use when needed. Apparently the stickiness expires at some unknown point. I have other varieties that I checked and all had lost their stickiness. Not happy considering the amount of money I paid for these and the others.

I just purchased these to hang hats the strips would not stick at all I had 9 hooks it came with 12 strips not one would stick to anything what a terrible product. Brand new wall painted 2 weeks ago I cleaned it with rubbing alcohol held for the 30 seconds and within 2 minutes they were all on the floor. I will also add that they ask for a rating of 0-10 on this review but they will not allow you to pick 0 seems as though they are trying to control what you can say about them

What a waste of money. They don’t stick even with barely any weight on them (a baseball cap). I’d use a new sticker and boom, the hook falls down again.

I purchased this product, used 2, they stuck well, but then I could not remove them. I went to use another one and they are not sticky. They were stored in the original container that I purchased them in.
