Best Cut Ever

I've always used OLFA rotary cutters for my quilting projects. I find the OLFA Quick-Change Rotary Cutter the best tool for my cutting needs. It's smaller and easier for me to handle. It doesn't take up a lot of space in my tool kit. The blades are easy to change. The blades stay sharp quite a while so there is great value in quality blades.

This is the size of the very first cutter I bought to try when quilting. I was not a new quilter but was open to new tools. I have other rotary cutters, and other cutters of different sizes but this one and size seems to be my go to. I never lay it down open and love the easy way to change the blade. When I bought my first one they were not sold or marketed to quilters.

I just got this last week. I used it to cut out some flannel baby bibs. It handled the inner curve of the bib neck perfectly.

Wow! What a time saver to cut a jillion small pieces for an appliqué quilt. I loved using this rotary cutter to cut small pieces and it cut accurately and with precision.

I have 2 of these, both over 15 years old. Why do I have 2 of this size? Obviously, because I keep setting one aside and losing it. Buy several, You’ll be thankful later when yours goes missing. I’ve also got one of the 45mm, but should probably buy one more.

After 30 yrs of faithful service, my old 28 mm is worn to the point of needing replacement. It has cut all kinds of things, usually with an Olfa ruler to assist in its job. My new replacement 28 mm will probably outlast me. I have all kinds of Olfa products: rotaries of every size, mats of every size, rulers of every size, tiny knives (box cutter type), you name it. If it has the OLFA name and a bright yellow line or handle, it will catch my eye every time.

I picked this up because I didn’t want to spend a ton on a new knife. After how easily this cuts I can tell you 100% I will be getting the 45mm or even 60mm if need be. Absolute wonder at an affordable price.

I bought this size to use it with my mask template that has a curve and now I use it most of the time... I love it. The size of the blade and how sharp it is makes it easy to achieve those dangerous curves. It's excellent for quilting or apparel sewing.

I was hesitant about this little tool but have found it to be the perfect size for for paper piecing and doing small free hand cutting, such as curves because it's light weight and has a smaller circumference which it gives me more control when I'm cutting!

This rotary cutter is a life saver if you're cutting curves. I have a drunkards path quilt I just cut out, and I can't imagine cutting those curves without the smaller diameter blade. This one really makes it a breeze.
