A: Because of the variations in fabric types, thicknesses and material, both yes and no. You will need to keep the fabric taught and make sure that it does not exceed more than 1/8" in thickness.

A: Hello Valued Customer! Thank you for your question! You can change the blade by following the steps below: 1) Insert a small slotted screw driver into the spindle slot, on the side of the blade that faces away from you when holding naturally. 2) Rotate front facing blade screw counter-clockwise with a slot tip screwdriver and remove the blade screw. 3) Slide the blade away from the upper guard and remove blade. 4) Slide new blade under the upper guard with beveled edges facing you. 5) Align hole in blade with hole in the blade shaft, replace screw and securely tighten the blade screw clockwise. A: Hello Mecca! Yes the tool should be able to cut through thin acrylic sheets, as thin acrylic sheets are best handled with a handheld rotary tool. THIS TOOL SAVED MY HANDS AND WRISTS. I use this tool for cutting shapes out of cardboard. It is not an exact cut but cardboard is difficult to cut straight anyway. For rounded edges you just need to adjusted the cardboard at the blade. So much easier than scissors and the battery life is incredible! I had'nt used the tool for 3-4 months and it was ready to go. I highly recommed this.

Not great at all…very positional and fussy…not a workhorse of a machine at all…I didn’t return it because I leave it on my porch to open delivery bags and I like it better than using a nail to open taped boxes

I was hesitant to buy this cutter and I was sure that it wasn't going to work well and that I would need to return it. I was so wrong. I had a ton of boxes that I needed to cut up and didn't want to do with a box cutter. This tool made fast easy safe work Of all those boxes in minutes. No worrying about cutting my fingers or my floor. It took what would have been a forty five minute job and turned it into a ten minute job. If even if I never used this tool again it was well worth the money. Extremely happy with this purchase.

I hardly ever leave reviews, but I love this tool so much and needed to share my experience. I am an online seller, so I wrap and ship my items on my own and use a lot of cut up carboard to wrap around my items before shipping. I was using a manual box cutter to cut my cardboard boxes up but after awhile, I noticed my hands getting sore and my fingers were developing small, hardened bumps. This tool saved my hands and I have been using it for 2 years. (I also wear Crafters Comfort Gloves when working). Anytime I need to cut up a box, I use it. It's easy to charge, too. Give it a try!

I purchased an other brand some months ago but took it back. This exceeds my expectations. I tried it on a number of items such as thin aluminum, vinyl flooring, corrugated boxes, leather and corplast (political yard signs.) The only issue was the need to modify the access hole for the charger to plug into the device. The receptor was slightly misaligned and the cable would not plug into the charging port.
Just got the package open and I hate it already!

1) I needed the rotary cutter to open the packagng of the rotary cutter!!! Worst packaging I have ever had to get into!! 2) The "manual" is a joke! The print is so tiny I cannot read it!! I am not joking!! It is difficult to read the bold print because that is extremely tiny, and mosto f the info is not in bold brint, making it next to impossible to read. I tried the lighted magnifier app on my phone but that just enlargens and blurs the print!! 3) Went on line to print out a copy of the manual so I could enlarge it, but I cannot find one after searching on several sites! Cannot even locate where the device was made or an email or web address. DON'T waste your ime or money...its going back tomorrow!!

Only used a few times to cut up thin food packaging boxes. After 3 months it started making a grinding sound and gets stuck. If I try to cut anything like box or a sheet of paper the material gets pulled into the track and gets stuck. I tried replacing the blame but I cannot. The center screw won't budge. This turned out to be nothing more but an overpriced paperweight.

I use it to cut fiberglass, it eats it up. Cuts 1708 fiberglas like butter. We will see how long the blade lasts. The price beats the heck out of the $132.99 electric scissors. Have'nt had it long enough to give it 5 stars. I love it.

The blade is not sharp enough for a smooth cut. I cut a foam cardboard and it was very rough, I ended up just cutting it with scissors. I returned these.

I purchased this primarily for cutting up large cardboard boxes. Sometimes it slices through the cardboard like butter; but more often than not, I'm brute-forcing the rotary blade through the cardboard. I'm not quite sure if using this is better than using a knife. In the end, I guess it's helping, but I expected more from the product.

Don't believe the videos, this cutter barely goes through cardboard boxes. Very disappointing. This cutter easily binds up when trying to make a straight line. I found that a pair of super heavy duty scissors works much better.

As someone else noted, this is noticeably worse than the Worx ZipSnip. It worked okay and I used it because it would take a few days for my ZipSnip to arrive. Once it did, I compared the two and the ZipSnip was better right out of the box even though the Blue Ridge was at a full charge.
