Q: Why do the chewable vitamins/tablets contain iron but the gummies do not contain iron?

A: Gummy vitamins contain a high level of moisture. If iron is added to a gummy formulation, it will cause oxidation, simply the rusting of iron, causing dark spots to appear. Also, iron has a characteristic metallic taste and aroma which will make a gummy vitamin unpleasant to taste.

I grew up on Flintstones vitamins in the 1980s. I used to take a daily multivitamin until I was in high school. I was impressed that Flintstones now comes in a gummy as well as the original chewable tablet formulation. The product I purchased is called Flintstones Gummies Complete #70 UPC. 16500 55434 016500554349. The problem is that the gummies were impenetrable. I couldn't chew them. I physically couldn't chew through them. I have chewed through many a hard taffy, but these gummies were worse. The taste could be better as well. Please keep the sugary taste. Please do not remove the sugar. That's what keeps them tasting good. The original formulation didn't have much sugar as I recall, but they always tasted the same. Batch after batch. I can't believe how the United States of America could formulate so many good things to eat and take as supplements, and they always tasted exactly the same. Lot: 28760274 EXP: 2026/06

Part of the complete and healthy breakfast. I like to give my kids the best start possible to their day; so I give them flintstones gummy vitamins. My kids love the taste and texture of the vitamins. The look forward to taking them every morning. I took flintstones gummy vitamins as a kids and I am glad I can continue with mine. It's a vitamin I can feel good about. Would recommend!

my 6 years old son love this multivitamin, it's taste good he loves it and i like it because it has all the vitamins and minerals that should the kids have it in their day , so I feel comfortable with it , the thing i don't like it's the sugar level is little high , but the value is perfect and the package is very good it's not easy to open so the kids can't open it by them selves

Gummies are way too hard. I've gotten these on a couple occasions and I feel like it is hit or miss with them. Sometimes the gummies are soft but this time they were very hard to chew, not safe for little ones. The flavor is good, but I will be returning this time and trying other child vitamins.

My daughter is so picky when it comes to foods so I needed something to get her the nutrients she needs. She’s also weird about texture and taste, I tried other vitamin gummies with no such luck. I think because these resemble actual gummies and has that same consistency and texture, is why she likes them. Idk kids are weird. The price isnt awful as well cause it’s a fairly big bottle.

Vitamins my kid will actually take! Tried the crunchy ones and he wouldn’t take or spit them out. I know gummy isn’t the greatest for their teeth but at least I know he’s getting his vitamins this way.

My daughter enjoyed the flavor of these and it seems to provide the nutrients she needs. My only complaint is that the gummy’s get a little bit hard after a while and for a toddler that’s kinda hard to chew. I wish they kept their softness through time.

It’s a bit hard to chew. I’ve noticed these made her constipated and it made her tummy hurt. Also it gives your child a lot of energy. These helped on my daughter appetite. But the constipation is a no for me.
