We purchased this lateral file cabinet because Sauders always has good quality furniture. We wanted something that would be sturdy enough to hold all our files and yet look elegant. It did not disappoint. The packaging was supurb. Although the outer carton was damaged, the cabinet was not. However we did change the handles to complement our other office furniture.

Received the County Line 2-drawer lateral file cabinet yesterday and assembled in over 3 to 4 hours. Parts came well-packed and there was no damage of any kind. Instructions were very detailed and quite good. Between the illustrations and the text, almost everything was clear and easy to follow. My only gripe was with Step 12 where the final side is assembled to the carcass and 4 separate pieces need to fit together simultaneously. There should have been a note explaining that the top piece should be lifted very slightly so the cam screws in the end can fit into the holes in the back BEFORE mating the end and the top. Otherwise, I have zero complaints. The file cabinet looks great, the drawers operate smoothly, and clearances around the drawers are nice and uniform.

This lateral file cabinet has plenty of room to store files plus paper for crafting. Took several hours to put together. My only concern is how easily the finish chips. Two chips while trying to put the draws in the cabinet. Wish there was a touch up kit available.

Seems solid. Directions for file brackets, rods, guides are wrong, Brackets are shown upside down. No video on it. Don't work. Had to do opposite to directions. Frustrating to redo. I expect better.

Although it appeared easy to put together, if the pieces didn’t the line properly, you could not open both drawers. I would not recommend this cabinet to anyone. The instructions were a little confusing as well.

I love that I can open the drawers alllll the way on smooth gliders to access all my files. Building this was more challenging than some items I've made yet much better instructions/photos/organized screws.

This is my wife's filing cabinet for work, the product is very nice. Not too hard to assemble, was missing a tip on one of the drawer pull handle, however, I called customer support and they are shipping me one out. Great customer service support! Thanks a bunch

When I first opened the box for my new lateral file cabinet I was a little overwhelmed. But following the step by step directions and using the QR videos I was able to put it together all by myself. I am now the proud owner of this beautiful file cabinet. Your company does such a great job making sure all the pieces are there and labeling all the fasteners. I needed some additional storage space more than a file cabinet. This fit the space I had available. Product is made of good quality pressboard as expected. Putting it together in 19 simple steps was not difficult. Each step was well thought out. All the parts were labeled and in individual packages. Highly suggest following each step in-order and completely. It took me just under two hours put it together. All fasteners, dowels, screws, drawer slides, and wooden parts fit where they were supposed to fit. Everything is pre-drilled. I wasn't exaggerating about 19 steps. There are probably 150 individual piece parts to assemble. The advertised weight of 102 lbs. seems right. My wife and I managed to lift it into my home office as I struggled to do it myself. It is heavy and feels very sturdy. Color and looks are exactly as in the on-line picture. Yes, I would buy one again.

I had a metal file cabinet and wanted a matching file cabinet for my new bookshelf. This fit the bill perfectly! It was well built no dents or dings and best of all the drawers open and close smoothly! I am extremely happy with this!

Generally the cabinet is good. The box arrived damaged and some parts dented and chipped, and a plastic file guide was broken. The instructions are detailed and at least 1 part is mislabeled in the instructions, but overall the assembly was not too challenging and it did require several hours.

I was pleasantly surprised at how nice this cabinet is. The materials are solid, predrilled holes were perfect, and it wasn't difficult to put together. For a boxed product it was fantastic and I will be buying more Sauder furniture in the future.
