A: Mine heats evenly throughout. I've finally figured out why I've had such terrible sleep patterns! My body needed heat! I'm sleeping through the night and wake up so rested. So happy with it.

Q: Why does the light go out after you set the heat setting? There is no indicator light to see if it is on or off. The elderly need this as eyesight can be poor.

That being said the “Serta Waterproof Electric Mattress Pad” is AMAZING! The queen size is big enough to fit my mattress plus the foam pad it has on top so the sizing is perfect, the quality of the material seems substantial but do be careful with the washing instructions and don’t bleach. I would probably wash it in delicate or by hand to be safe. The queens size pad has two controls so if you share your bed you and the other person can control their own heat preference. At the moment, I keep it on a low setting at 3 and it seems to keep me warm enough and I don’t need to push it up to 10. The timer also goes up to 12 hours, which is longer than most heat timers for products I own. I love this feature. So, if you live in a home where the heat goes down at night and you want to be warm while you sleep, get this mattress pad. I’m definitely buying another.

I love how it comes with two controls, so we both can have it on as low or high as we want. I personally have not gone above five on the heating setting. At five it makes me sweat, but feels so good on my body. We have been using it for close to a month now, and not once have we had to put corners back on or adjust it at all. That is saying a lot because I am a mover and a flip flopper all night long. I really appreciate that it has a long timer on it. Make it so it stays warm for the entire size or seven hours of sleep. The only thing I wish was different was the controller itself, I think it should have a low light on it so you can see what you're doing.

Machine washable and dryer safe on low, which is helpful in a home with a toddler. Deep corners allow for an easy install. Queen and up sizes come with two controllers which is excellent when one spouse sleeps hot and the other cold. Adjustable heat and time settings are an added bonus.

There was no dust or funny smells to deal with. The cover was a little wrinkled but that was to be expected. The separate controls make this even better. I can use my side on the highest settings and my husband can turn his off or on low. The pockets are deep and it has a good grip on my bed. The waterproof cover is not loud and uncomfortable but has a nice feel. I slept great with this on my bed last night. I definitely recommend Serta’s electric mattress pad.

It was so comfortable. Also, it has 10 different heat settings. It allows you to match your perfect comfort zone. What a smooth fit around my king size bed. To add bonuses to this, the cord to attach the heating elements are nicely hidden and do not bunch up like other heated blankets or pads are. I like the option to have a second one either attached or not. I sleep alone so I only need one side to heat up. The controls are easy to navigate. It heats up very nicely too. Very much recommend this product!!

Like: it works as advertised. I turn it on an hour before bed so that it’s toasty warm when I climb in. I couldn’t handle it on that high all night, which is why the timer function gets used every night. Dislike: the cord isn’t 8’. It barely reaches my nightstand. The digital readout only is lit when you’re pushing buttons, so overnight the only way to see what it’s set at is to either turn on a light or start pressing buttons. Also, when pressing the buttons, it’s very loud & will disturb your partner because you need to push the button for each degree change. That all said, I’m happy enough with my King, that I’m ordering another for my guest bedroom. Also, contrary to what someone said, you cannot feel all of the wires. It sleeps just fine.

I have a split-king bed so need twin XL size for each mattress. The cord going from the foot of the bed to the controller is only 5 feet long. So there is no way the controller can be on the nightstand or near the head of the bed. The specifications say it is 8.5 feet long. Not true. I tried to solve the problem by flipping the pad so the plug-in was at the head of the bed even though the directions say it should always be at the foot. But then there was a big lump of wiring at my head and a lot of heat which should have been at my feet which were now cold as there is less wiring at the top of the pad. I returned it. Would not risk buying another that could have the same defect.

My husband loves getting into a hot bed and then turning it down low for sleeping, but this bed is far too hot even on 1! I'm almost positive you could use this in an igloo and be toasty warm...lol! It is good quality; I am not excited to return it and try finding another one.
