I purchased for something fun for my toddlers to help with and they did love the process of watering the pucks, “planting” the seeds, and watching it grow. We’re on day 5 and they are sprouting up but barely anything to harvest. Purchase for kids to help vs actually wanting as a garden.

I was excited about this! Then, like others, I suspect the instructions call for too much water. Sprouts sprouted, but on Day 3, a little filmy stuff on surface and bad odor (like a tuna can left out). Odor worse on Day 4, and so bad on Day 5 I abandoned the project. I was only adding 3 Tbs. H2O/day, and the few sprouts that began were just swimming and ceasing to grow. Extra bummed because I bought 2 of these, 1 as a gift for 8 and 5 yr. old relatives. They haven't started theirs' yet.

This is my favorite grow kit! There’s step by step instructions since it’s important to water accordingly in the first few days of growth. It grows so much it’s insane! The ceramic tray it comes with helps me not get nervous of a soggy brown tray. Love that they’re healthy Microgreens. I usually just pick some off and add on top of my eggs, salads, etc. and makes every meal look bougie from a restaurant. And yes I let my fur babies inspect everything for mental stimulation haha! I bought the refill seed backs to keep growing more! It’s amazing! Note: be sure to keep watering a little bit everyday or else they wilt and fall over fast

The trays are the right size for one person to have microgreens once or twice a week, so get more than one for using them more than that. I have 2 growing at a time, but also have other greens and sprouts growing too.

Day 2 and started to notice fuzzy mold in the planter, scooped the moldy spot out and continued to follow directions. Noticed on Day 5 that the water wasn’t absorbing (I followed directions for 3 tablespoons, not even the 5 max the directions stated) so I skipped adding water and checked on Day 6 and there was a thick film covering the water and mold. Gross. Don’t waste your money.

I love this little kit. It was my first time attempting to grow microgreens and it worked as advertised. In the beginning when you need to cover them, I just put them in the box they came in. Then I sat them on the windowsill above my kitchen sink which does not get direct sunlight. As for watering, it says 3-5 Tbsp every day and I did 3 after seeing some of the reviews saying it was too much water. Worked perfectly and I was able to harvest them on day 9. I plan on getting more seeds and soil and reusing the tray.

It didn't grow well it did look like it was.growing mildew or something but the seeds weren't really sprouting and I was watering it like the sheet said... I would have loved for it to work I was really excited and couldn't wait to eat some but it just didn't happen. Maybe it's because I used distilled water? I wouldn't say others shouldn't give it a try I'm just saying it didn't work out for me.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Such an amazing way to grow edible plants. I followed the directions incorrectly and the plant still grew the way it indicated it would. I accidentally added too much water initially so I added my own potting soil. I watered the seeds as indicated on the directions card, provided sunlight, and within just a few the seeds were sprouting and within a couple of weeks I ate the sprouts. And they tasted great! (Be sure when you cut them you don't get soil in your food.) I'm still watering the plant and getting more sprouts to consume. So exciting!

Microgreens are packed with nutrients, and it's really nice to be able to grow something like this inside your kitchen (in winter, no less) and enjoy them fresh. The planter is attractive and the whole kit is small enough for even the most compact kitchen. I love using them on sandwiches and in smoothies and salads.

Within the second day I could see the tiny sprouts. Third day root hairs could be seen. By the fifth day sprouts were green. The 10th day I was so happy to see the tall sprouts. Unfortunately mold grew so I wasn’t able eat them. I will definitely try again and change the area in which they were placed. Overall I will definitely recommend to family & friends.

My 10 year old son and I had so much fun following the (simple!) directions, "growing" the dirt and then taking care of it day by day. It was fun for both of us to watch the greens growing on a daily basis. I am not a green thumb, in fact I struggle with plants, so I was skeptical but these microgreens are really "fail proof" and make such a great addition to salads and sandwiches. Already planning on giving as a gift!!

It’s simple and adds a healthy green boost to your diet. However, for me, the taste and keeping up with the process is probably not something I will continue with. Even though it was fun for a 1x or once-in-awhile type thing.
