A: Once the Breville® BKE700 Soft Top™ Pure reached boiling, the kettle will shut off. It does not have a 'Keep Warm' function to maintain any temperature.

I had actually purchased this kettle some years ago but noticed that it was missing as being registered in my Breville account; I decided to do so and was asked to do this review. It is very well made and holds 1.7L of water. We use filtered water so we have not noticed much scale buildup, but it will occur over time. It heats very quickly with an automatic shutoff. It sits on a power base and is easily removed to pour into a teapot or other cooking device. It "dings" when boiled and shuts off automatically when removed from the base. There is a small screen filter at the spout which should be cleaned every now and then; we often forget it is there. Recommended.

After reading a lot of wonderful reviews my sin decided to gift me this kettle. No even a year and during heating up the water this happened. So very disappointed especially we really like this brand. We purchased juice maker and coffee machine and works fine. Somehow I would like to see if company can replace the lid if possible. Thank you

If you're seeing some type of discoloration, please note, though very similar in appearance to rust, this is more than likely simply hard water scale which has discolored due to heating. Initially the stains / spots will appear white, as they are heated with time they may change in color towards orange. This should be resolved with regular descaling of the kettle. You can use a descaling agent made just for descaling kettles, or you can use white vinegar. This is my second attempt . I have had this kettle for 2 years to the month, and the boil shut off feature is unreliable. It will take several minutes of rapid boiling to shut off - we usually do it first as we obviously want to use it.

First I bought this model when turn on lighting in side and seeing water clearly , it was 2008 I used 10 year without any problem and gave to my son they still use it. 2017 I bought new one there was no light in side when you turn on was nt happy about it but still I am using there is no problem. Yesterday my second son asked me to have it I gave him. Today I went to store to buying as same as style but it was out of stock. I strated to read review and shock every commend and pictures. Each time quality going down I know but not I am not sure I have to buy as sam style or not. It is my favorite kettle.

I'm on my second Breville Soft Top Kettle. The kettle has great features and works well. First one lasted a long time and was well built. Second one only lasted a couple of years and that is disappointing. From the first to second kettle, you can tell that the build quality is diminishing. If Breville returns to the better build and materials, I will come back to this product but for now, other options with longer warranty seem better.

I really liked this tea maker, but unfortunately, I have not seen any information about this tea maker being BPA free. Because at least in the information of other tea makers, it is written BPA free, but unfortunately, I did not see anything about this product, and this is a cause for great concern for me, and I think I may have to return it.

We recently bought out 3rd Breville Soft Top Pure. A second, older one, still is in use at an office and another recently stopped working due to what seemed like a tired electric connection. We didn't hesitate to purchase a replacement. We have used our old one many times a day for many years. It seemed appropriate that it was now tired and we were very excited to have a new shiny one. We can't recommend this product more enthusiastically. It's made of very high quality materials, is perfectly balanced for filling and pouring and is very quiet, except for a familiar ding when the water is hot.

After many happy years of daily use of the previous version of this kettle, I just replaced it with the current version. I don't wait for these kettles to switch 'off' automatically and that probably led to the switch of my previous kettle malfunctioning. The current kettle version seems lighter in weight and features two windows instead of one. Water seems to come to boil faster too. The handle is my favourite feature and I am so pleased that its shape and materials have not changed. I find the handle very comfortable for my smaller than average hands.
