Mount-It! Wheels Up Series Bike Wall Mount with Shelf and Hooks

Overly bulking, hard to install by yourself and cheap hardware. This thing weighs probably 15-20lbs which makes it strong BUT we’re hanging a bicycle here. Design assumes you have two free studs and the surrounding space to fit the rack. Like most garages/ storages, there are other things limiting the location this can go. Also, if you’ve already got your space dialed, you’re not going to rearrange everything so this thing fits; at least I’m not. Also - the mounting brackets extend out past the shelf? Isn’t the whole point of this thing supposed to clean up the appearance of the mounted bike? Maybe I’m just frustrated but for the price this thing should have more mounting points on the bracket or rack itself to allow for more minor adjustments when placing on the wall and hardware that doesn’t strip if you want to use a power tool.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I haven’t been able to install this because I need to make space in my garage but I wanted to give it accolades prior to mounting it. It is extremely rugged and made of thick metal. It is HIGH quality and very nice looking. The part where you mount the bike is made of a soft and anti-slip rubber that will keep your bike on the mount and also protect it from damage. The bottom hook is extremely strong too and can carry as much as your wall can handle. The packaging looks professional and would make the perfect gift. I’m going to buy one for my bike enthusiast brother for the holidays. I highly recommend this.

Comes with removable brackets for the mounting which is nice because it allows you to have more flexibility in where you place it. Also has a wheel strap to keep things from moving around and whacking into the wall. Instructions are pretty straightforward and if for some reason you lose your info it's all easy to find on the manufacturer site. Nice because the upper and lower storage shelf offer enough space to put a helmet and lock/headlamp/gloves so everything can be stored in one place and the actual bike-holding portion has some padding to reduce scratches. I've seen some similar designs before but they've always been kind of sharped edged, cheaply made, or on the flip side WAY more expensive if they actually had the same features--this one is a really good value for the price. It's pretty sturdy too, the whole thing probably weighs around 15-20 pounds. Has a lower weight capacity than other mounts from the same brand, but at the same time seems like it will keep a bike in better shape (see the point about the padding, the wheel strap, plus it keeps it in a normal orientation without any weird pressure points). Personally would recommend more for a condo/apartment situation (where you can drill, obv) because my current storage area is in a garage where most of the wall space is already taken up by other items like pegboard for tool storage, or is inaccessible for a product like this because the cars would end up too close for comfort to the bike.The black looks decent enough and would fit in with any black modern or industrial decor well, it's not cheap looking and is actually pretty sleek. For the basic stats: Compatible with road bikes and other bicycles with a crossbar diameter up to 2.2" and handlebars up to 23.6" wide, up to 33lbs
