CeraVe Anti-Dandruff Scalp Care Shampoo - 12 fl oz

I tried this shampoo for the first time last night, and it was a great experience for my scalp: The scent from the bottle smelled very clean, similar to a doctor's bathroom hand soap or hotel laundry, which I do not mind, and as I lathered/rinsed the shampoo out, that scent went away. The shampoo felt soft on my hands, had a lightweight feeling, lathered really well, and made my scalp feel clean and hydrated! My roots, mid-lengths, and ends felt super soft, and my hair was shiny (*Keep in mind that I double cleanse my scalp, and it takes 4 minutes*). I noticed a huge difference, considering dandruff because my scalp was cleared from it! I am curious to see how my scalp does in the next few days before I need to clean my hair again (I clean my hair when my scalp starts to get oily, which is 3 days maximum after the last shower). This morning, my hair and scalp looked great! I rate this experience a 10/10 and would recommend it to anyone who has dandruff or a very sensitive scalp, like me!

I've been dealing with what I think is perimenopausal scalp itch since turning 40 last June and because I use a keratin treatment on my hair, I've been hesitant to use a dandruff shampoo for relief so that I don't strip the keratin with any sulfates. This sulfate free dandruff shampoo has been amazing. It's helped me with relief of the itching and my hair feels soft also. I also recommend pairing with the conditioner and it's great for my thick hair. This product really gets in and lathers more than I expected of a dandruff shampoo. Very happy I finally found a good product that provides itch relief.

I have tried so many brands for my serebic dermatitis and spent sooo much money on products… I even bought a shower timer to ensure I followed directions to a T and still had little to no relief. This shampoo is AMAZING. It lathers like a dream, and has made such an improvement upon the first time using it. And it’s so affordable!!Definitely recommend to anyone struggling like I have been.

This shampoo actually worked for me, and a lot of the reviews seem kinda promotional, so I figured I’d share my experience. It is worth noting that idk if I have actual dandruff or if I just have a dry, flaky scalp, but this has helped me. I use it 1-2 times a week, in rotation with my regular shampoo. I lather it on my scalp, let it sit for a few min, rinse (with high pressure to remove flakes stuck in my long hair), and repeat. Took a few uses to see the full effects. Cleared flakes and hydrated my scalp without leaving my hair feeling dry and stripped like some other anti-dandruff shampoos (nizoral, head & shoulders). It does have a light smell that reminds me of sunscreen, but it isn’t strong or overpowering. It is also much cheaper than oher medicated shampoos, which is great!

I do find it helps flakes and doesn't leave my hair dry . My only complaint is it's super hard to rinse out

If you're not sure if your itchy, flaky scalp is just dry, sebhorreic dermatitis, or true dandruff, this is a great option to try. It cleared my flakes/scales, itch, and redness up completely by the third wash. It leaves my hair feeling soft and clean - not stripped! It's so much nicer to use than other medicated shampoos.

And for the type of product you are receiving, it is really cheap compared to similar products like it. But overall, the texture of the shampoos is not bad and it's pretty similar to other shampoos.

I feel as though this product nourished my scalp without leaving a greasy feeling or look. Not all of my dandruff has stopped but i believe it has been reduced because of this product.

I’m very cautious when it comes to using new shampoos because of my color dyed hair and eczema. However, Cerave is a brand I use in my everyday life and trust the brand. I was impressed with this shampoo and how well it cleaned my scalp and hair. It definitely reduced the itchy and flakiness by a large amount! The itch is practically gone and the flakiness has decreased to the point where it’s not even visible. It did slightly remove some of the dye from my hair, but it is a normal amount that was removed since my hair is red. It also lathered up really well when massaging it into my scalp. The best part about this anti dandruff shampoo is that it’s scent free and didn’t mess with my sensitive skin. Other shampoos on the market usually have a strong mint like smell to it and sometimes even stings, but this one had no issues at all. A little definitely goes a long way and you also get a large amount of product in the bottle. If I were to purchase any anti dandruff shampoo on the market, I would choose this one!

I suffer with flaky and itchy scalp. I wouldn’t say I have a dry scalp it’s a bit on the oily side. I’ve tried numerous of dandruff shampoo, ACV, and glycolic acid on my scalp. They only somewhat helped me. I decided to give this one a try and this one helped tremendously! Itchiness and flakiness is totally reduced. I still have those problems but this shampoo made a huge difference for me. So for my routine (I shower every other day), only massage this on your scalp. Rinse and repeat. Use this once a week!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So the product is made by Cerave which is famous for moisturizing products. The texture is thick kinda feel a little lotion like. It doesn’t produce ton of foam, bubble so I had to use a lot of it. It did clean all the oil from my hair but just doesn’t feel clean if you know what i meant.
