Q: DOES HAIR GET MATTED OR FRIZY IF BRUSHED?

A: Yes, it does. It's just like barbie hair. If it sleeps with the child or gets washed or brushed, it's ruined. I haven't found a way to bring it back to it's original neatness or shine, and I've tried every trick recommended. It just gets worse with time.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] What a fun idea! The hair is incredibly soft and silky, which is unexpected for a kids toy. My almost 4 year old loved the idea of the retractable hair, but got frustrated when it actually only retracted a few inches instead of all the way. I will say that she might have more fun with this in a few months — she’s at the “I can do this by myself” age where she’s too stubborn to actually learn how to style or braid from someone else, but instead claims she knows how to do it then get flustered when the finished product is nowhere close to expected. As a suggestion, I think adding clips to the ends of the extensions would go a long way in helping the user experience.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My daughter is in love with Tina! She's so beautiful, and we have so much fun changing her hair extensions and styling her hair. I typically wear my hair teal, so my daughter was so excited to have a doll that "looks like mommy" lol. My oldest has had an Our Generation doll for years, and I was going to get one for my middle daughter for her birthday anyway, so this was perfect timing. My box was definitely opened and tampered with when I got it though which is definitely new, and disappointing, but.luckily everything appears with still be in the box.

HI Erin - Thank you for your feedback. Please take a look below at our hair care guide to help in maintaining her hair. How To Brush Our Hair: 1. For the best results, it is recommended to use a wire brush. 2. Divide my hair into small sections and gently brush them one at a time. Make sure to brush out the tangles starting from the bottom of my hair and then moving up. 3. Mist my hair lightly with water from a spray bottle if you are having a hard time detangling it. 4. If I have wavy hair, be very gentle when brushing the ends to help preserve my curls. 5. For tight curls, finger style my hair. Separate a small section of my hair and work your fingers through it, twirling as you go. 6. For braided styles, tightly braiding my hair while damp will help control frizzy ends. 7. Avoid using styling products like gel or mousse, as this may damage my hair. 8. Avoid using a blow dryer, hot rollers, curling or straightening iron on my hair. 9. Always keep my hair away from extreme heat. You can also use a clothes steamer, starting at the bottom in small sections, working your way up to straighten the hair. Please remember not to put direct heat on the dolls head or hair.

The quality of the doll is very well made and even has a feature to release the hair, which is so interesting. It was a great doll for 7+ years old. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The doll itself is cute! The dress on it though is less than great quality than what we are used to seeing on these kinds of dolls though. It is also very clear this was potentially a returned item since the box was ripped in spots and it looks like the glue tabs had been pulled up and the doll was cut out of the box. The hair even though it is still tacked down is messier than what these dolls usually look like brand new. Everything was in the box and the hair even though it was messy is still so cute.

My daughter loves how she comes with a little book and all the hairstyles to do. She has a hairstylist doll and chair to use. The button is a little hard to use or work at all at times to get the hair out is why I gave it 4 stars.
