Description

    Good but a little too peppery.

    I thought this was pretty good - just a bit too peppery for my preferences. The pepper overpowered the cheese flavor. I don’t know that I would buy it again but I did like it.

    My new favorite

Some day, I don't really like the American cheese version of Kraft and cheese cause I thought the flavor is a little too intense to be a good side dish. This one is different. The product was easy to prepare with instructions on the back of the box. The texture of the macaroni and seasoning was okay. It was not too spicy. The creaminess was not there for me. It seemed as if it was missing something but my husband loved it. The product itself did not leave me an aftertaste. I would conclude this as a decent side dish to prepare.

It was easy to prepare and it did a great job completing our dinner meal. It did require quite a bit of butter but it was loved by everyone in the house, even my extremely picky 12 year old. I think the servings are pretty accurate, 4 as a side or 2 if it's your whole meal. I also really enjoyed the noodle type. It wasn't the standard macaroni or shell type. Overall, a big hit in our house and I would buy it again.

    Great to Have on Hand

I think the serving size is great and offers 4 portions, which is perfect for a family size box. It is a great thing to have on hand when you need to get dinner together quickly and can easily bulk it up by adding on proteins or veggies. The ingredients are pretty good in comparison to some others. The flavor is amazing and love the fresh cracked pepper taste, which I haven’t experienced with a box of Mac and cheese. Overall, I absolutely think this is worth a try and I’ll be looking for it in stores.

    Must love pepper

    [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This box mix really stepped up the Kraft name and surprised us with flavor. However, take the name seriously, it is very pepper heavy! It is packed with large, coarse pieces of black pepper that had us picking out pieces from our teeth hours later. The serving suggestion is to add freshly cracked pepper on top but I couldn’t see adding a speck more! We served it as a side dish, but we were shocked by the quantity and it could have stood as the main. Our kids were divided on the bold flavor, one asked for seconds (then thirds) while the other left theirs mostly untouched. Makes an easy fast meal if pepper is your thing.

    Tasty Side-Dish

It made an easy and quick dinner taste like something from a restaurant. It was cheesy, smooth, and had a light peppery taste to it. It was also very filling. On another note, I like that there are simple ingredients in this with no artificial flavors, preservatives or dyes. I will definitely look for this next time I go grocery shopping

    Why make regular when you can prepare Restaurant Edition?

    [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the idea of elevated Mac n cheese, and the larger portion! You prepare Restaurant Edition just as you would regular Mac n cheese, so I appreciated the ease. We melted the butter in the hot pan and mixed with the milk and cheese BEFORE tossing it with the noodles, which I prefer for a consistent sauce texture. So creamy! The noodles are huge and fancy, and hold onto the cheese nicely. It was great to have Romano as opposed to cheddar for a change, and the flavor was perfectly balanced by the black pepper. My daughter finished hers quicker than I could have imagined, and asked for seconds. I’m a huge fan, and look forward to making Restaurant Edition in place of regular!

    Restaurant-quality comfort in 10 minutes

    [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wasn't sure what to expect from a boxed cacio e pepe, but this one won me over on the first bite. The Romano cheese flavor is sharp, nutty, and savory, with a nice hit of black pepper that makes it taste far more grown-up than regular boxed mac. It's creamy without being heavy, and the sauce actually clings to the pasta instead of pooling at the bottom of the bowl. The pipette shape is the real star. Those little hollow curls scoop up the sauce so every bite is fully coated, and the durum wheat semolina blend gives them a satisfying al dente bite that holds up well, even as leftovers.
