i used to love this mac and cheese i would get it weekly and it was my favorite thing ever! until they changed the formula to the “now cheesier” version it’s genuinely disgusting and not worth it anymore will not be buying unless they bring back the old version

This is a meal that we have had before and we’re eager to try the cheesier version, but did not taste a significant difference between this new recipe. It was flavorful but it was not necessarily cheesier than the old recipe. I also enjoyed that the mix is made with real cheese and organic ingredients.

This new recipe is so disappointing. I loved Annie's mac and cheese, but will no longer be buying it after the change in recipe. I have tried it a couple times thinking maybe it was an off box, but it was not. My daughter (not knowing the recipe changed) also mentioned that she no longer likes this brand of mac and cheese. The texture is very gloopy and slimy now. Very disappointed. I hope they bring back the oldrecipe.

However, I have consistently enjoyed other Annie's products in the past, and believe a non white chedder cheese version of this product would be more to my liking.

We tried it tonight, and our verdict was "they didn't even TRY to make it taste like cheese." So bad we won't eat the rest of the case and we don't want to give it to a food pantry because their patrons have suffered enough.

I am having trouble cooking Annie's Shells and White Cheddar. The box says to cook for 8-10 minutes, but the shells stick together and are not fully cooked. They are crunchy and uncooked when I bite into them, which is very disappointing. My mother has also experienced this problem. It is upsetting to have crunchy, uncooked pasta.

The new now cheesier version does immediately have a stronger cheddar flavor to it. However, this flavor sort of dissipates as your palate becomes used to it and starts to take on more of a chemical taste over the course of eating this is a meal. Given everything that Annie stands for and how they produce their product I would still recommend it, but in general I was not overly impressed with the changes to the cheese powder recipe.
Always a hit with the kids at meal time!

The new "now cheesier" variety tastes completely different. It tastes less like cheese and more like the low quality competitors that I always avoided by buying Annie's. I'm really hoping they roll back this change because after 20 years of brand loyalty, I'm not buying this product anymore.

I used to love this mac and cheese! I am an avid mac and cheese consumer, and this white cheddar shells has always been #1 until now. The new recipe replacing butter with corn starch for a more “cheesier” taste just makes the mac and cheese very bland now. It used to have such a great flavor! I think most people could agree with me that this and the aged cheddar flavor needs to revert back to the old recipe and i’m sure it will bring back loyal customers like me who have been eating this since they were little.
