These don't taste sour because they don't have acid based persevitives. They make mushroomy risotto not sour ones. The plan is to use them to make a mushroom gravy. The mushrooms themselves don't taste good. They need some seasoning help. No grit complaints here... not yet

At first I liked these mushrooms, but then I found pieces completely covered in soil in one can, then in another one, and another one. Pure black soil stuck on mushrooms stems. They're not washed very well.

These are wonderful for so may uses--adding to stir-fry, pasta dishes, soup, stews. and as a pizza topping. I always have several cans on hand. A bonus is that they are grown, harvested, and canned in the U.S.

never thought I'd be a fan of canned mushrooms. what?! I like mushrooms in my egg and tofu etc scramble every morning. not right without my shrooms. enough times I couldn't find fresh, not slimy I tried this in despair. how convenient! they're already cleaned ( I hope) and sliced. I just plop them in some marinade and they're ready when I need them. buy some. just leave a can or two for me.
