This simple rack was a great choice for us, who needed to mount three bikes on our Subaru Outback but did not want to invest in a more expensive rack before doing more research. It is a bit of a pain to get on and off the car (hence four stars) but for the price it is a perfectly serviceable option.

I purchased the Saris Guardian 3 bike rack for my Q5. I wanted something easy to set up that didn’t require much work. It takes about 5 minutes to attach to the car. I went to one of the local bike stores and they checked that I set it up properly. Gave me a few pointers to make sure it would be secure. All in all it’s a win. The fact ghat it’s made in the USA makes it a real score!

Used rack for first time to move cross country. The rack was easy to install and stayed securely mounted to my car the entire time - even through heavy winds and rain. Have used for short trips since then and am very happy with how quickly I can get it strapped to my car, get the bike secured and hit the trail!

this is the only product that would fit my car, 2010 hyundai genesis coupe, i am very satisfied with the easy of use to install, i love how the rack folds up to be compact, i take it everywhere i go.

The rack worked pretty good for my mountain bikes but three mountain bikes is little much for this rack. I mounted it on a Cadillac Seville with little problems but it takes some time the first time you set it up. After that the straps are the correct length and it mounts much faster. You also need to get a feel for how tight the make the straps. The only real issue I had with the rack is the bikes would side to the end of the bars from the wind pushing on them. I about lost a bike one time. A better stop is paramount if that change has not already been made.
