Perfect choice for convertible cars, that can't have bike rack on the top. Didn't tried 3 fully mtbs, but strong enough to carry 2 of them. Relatively easy installation. Very high quality, lightweight. Minus 1 star for necessity to install and removal every time, and for straps, that can scratch your trunk on high speed (because of wind), and for price, too much for plastic rack. Overall very a good device!

I have had this bike carrier for 8 years. Used it on my mini. Now trying to fit to my fiat 500e. Are the feet on this carrier the same as the bones ex3? Just noticed in the pictures here they rest on the bumper. (Fiat 500e not big enough - the feet are not fully supported by the bumper). However in the Bones Ex3 they rest against the side of the car. Can I rest them against the side of the car with this model?

My son got one and when I saw it I was so impressed that I had to get one for myself. Very versatile and easy to use.

I have owned a Saris 2-bone trunk mounted bike rack for a number of years. It has given me excellent service and I have always had confidence in the rack to travel where ever I wished to go for my next ride. Now that my two grandsons have expressed an interest in riding bikes with Grandpa, the 3-bone version became a necessity. I fine that I can carry their bikes easily with my road bike or my FX2 Hybrid. Further, this version seems to allow for easier stowage for those times I am not hauling a bike(s) along. This is an addition I wish I had made a couple of years ago. Very pleased with the results.

The whole structure is great and I can see why this is so firm and stable, however, if only the arms can be maneuver with better ideas would be great. Maybe a quick release or something. Overall I'm happy as long as I can ferry my bikes and safely which is my main priority. Lastly, I think the price can be lowered slightly, I don't find the price justified to the product because of what I suggested with the arms. Implement with a quick-release would be great!

This rack is easy to use, fits my car and sort of fits multiple bikes. I've had the team for 5 years now and it's been very solid. With modern mt bikes being the size and geometry they are they take up a lot of space. That being said, it's very difficult, if not impossible, to fit the bikes on the three bike rack. On top of that, the grey "padding", out whatever it is, rubs off and gets all over my bike frame. While this doesn't damage the frame, as far as I can tell, it's ugly and kind of disconcerting that it's coming off at all and makes me wonder when it will start damaging the paint on my frame. I recently replace both the arms (within six months) and the grey stuff started rubbing off almost immediately. I've had to start wrapping some spare cloth around my frame to protect it.

I have had experiences with two other leading brands of bike racks and now happy to have found Saris. This rack fits my Honda Fit superbly and set-up was lightning fast and intuitive to use. The rack is very lightweight and seems very durable. The bike fits very well.

This is a well-built bike rack and was easy to arrange for mounting. It fit my chevy cruz hatchback with no problems. My only problem was that it was tough getting my bike on the rack. It's a women's bike with a shock under the seat. It also had a few more poles crisscrossing which all made it difficult to figure out where to fit the rack through. after a little maneuvering, we were able to get it up there, but it wasn't easy.

I brought this 3 bone car rack a month ago. It works great on my 2011 Dodge Durango. So far so good.

Easy to install actually looks good on my car and it’s sturdy

I purchased this bike rack 2 years ago to carry my son's bike, unfortunately I had to move so never used it till today. I would have given it 5 star but the instruction (picture) pages took some time to figure out and would recommend to put some explanation (words) into the instructions. The rack is sturdy, well engineered, and easy to install even though there are no english instructions...

I searched all over for a trunk rack for my SUV, before stumbling on this one. Fortunately, my local bike dealer carried it. Installation is quick and easy, after the first go. I can install and remove the rack in under five minutes, and it holds my bikes securely--no swaying! This rack changed my biking life!

We have an older model Bones 3 that we like but one of the rubber straps broke which led us to a new bones 3. Considering Covid 19 and the mass amount of people buying bike equipment I think the arrival was longer than I would have liked but average. However, when it finally arrived it had the wrong straps to attach it to my car so now months later I still haven't been able to use it and the support department has not responded to my requests

The Saris Bones is a great all-around bike rack. Solid, sturdy, secure, and easy to use. USA-made in the great state of Wisconsin, and there isn’t a cut corner to be found anywhere on their products. I’ll need to buy another soon, and Saris is my only choice. They do everything right. I can’t recommend them highly enough.

Made a road trip from Wisconsin to Colorado and back in a 2014 Mazda 3. About 30 minutes through a storm with strong wind and heavy rain. Everything held tight. Left a few marks on the trunk, but they washed off. Recommend adding zip ties to help keep the wheels more secure for peace of mind. Solid purchase.
