This is our third HP laser printer. over the last 31 years. Our first one was bought in 1994. We had tried different inkjet printers, but none were very reliable, and durability was lacking. None lasted more than a year or so. We always came back to HP Laser printers I like this latest version, except for the ink ( toner) buying system. HP seems to want to have a monopoly on selling VERY expensive toner, so has made it difficult to buy aftermarket toner cartridges, and on some printers, made buying it automatic, as a condition of using their printers. I don't agree with this, even though It is no big thing to me, I don't use a printer often enough to worry about it. However, it irks me that a company would use underhanded schemes like this to make more money, and eliminate competition in the toner marketplace.

You can get over 2000 prints per toner. It automatically prints both sides. The key point of this whole printer is me scanning documents. It connected seamlessly to my phone and computer. I would definitely recommend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Setting up the printer is tricky at first but once it’s set up it’s easy to use. It can be set up in Chinese and I can print through my phone. To print from my phone, I just need to connect to printer’s Wi-Fi and use HP SMART APP to print. It also prints fast. The only downside is it doesn’t show me the print preview via the app.

This printer is lightening fast. It prints, scans, and copy any documents fast without any noise. I love that it can print my pages on both sides and has an auto feeder. I was printing from it within a few minutes. I can print off claim forms and payments super fast. This is so much better than the one we have at the office . It doesn't sound really loud when printing or copying documents. Overall I am super impressed with it.

This new printer is so much easier to install and extremely fast compared to all of my other printers. I can honestly say that I had it unpacked and operating in 10 minutes flat. I was accustomed to hitting print and then striking up small talk before going to retrieve a contract or agreement from the printer until I found that I can now walk over and a two sided print will already be waiting in the printer for me! If you need a black and white printer with scanning capabilities then this is definitely the printer for you.

I have previously had trouble with printers that are challenging to use or frequently have errors. This one is simple and does exactly what it says. It was extremely easy to set up - no time wasted installing new software or troubles connecting to the computer. It even came with some ink, which was nice. I used it immediately as I received this printer just in time for all of the paperwork I needed to print out to start my business. It's also extremely fast! This was something that surprised me, as I've never had a LaserJet before. Very convenient when I need to print out a large number of documents.

I no longer have to worry about when trying to print a black and white document when I run out of a random color, even though the black ink is full. All in all, if you’re looking for a black and white laser printer, this one is a no brainer.

I bought this as we use HP laserjet printers at my work and thought it would be similar but I must say this one is better! I have used other printers in the past from various brands but this one has it all not to mention the wireless printing has really helped up throughout my time in grad school. The scanning feature has also been a tremendous help when scanning in and organizing my handwritten notes. Highly would recommend to anyone looking to buy a one stop shop for printing and scanning at home!

Printing out documents is the majority of what I do at home, and was tired of slow color home printers that either black or colors cartridges always seemed empty. Fast and reliable is exactly what this printer is all about. I purchased the black and white laser jet exclusively for documents, knowing I wouldn’t be using for color usage. So far it’s done exactly what I needed. Printing 34 pages a minutes is what I got and what a difference not having to wait on papers to get finished. The setup was as easy as it gets, plugin for power and connect to your wifi and bam!!!! That was it. Print from your computer or your smartphone. It’s as easy as it gets. So if you’re looking for fast output, reliability with clear word printing for documents, I definitely recommend the HP LaserJet Pro MFP 3101sdw Black and White printer.

All it required was to connect to my Wi-Fi and that was it! No hassle at all! It comes pre loaded with ink and has an auto document feeder which is extremely useful. This printer is incredibly fast as well, printing up to 35 pages a minute. It is corporate quality in the comfort of your own home! I can't wait to put this bad boy to use for my small business.
